Hey all, Very ecstatic guy here after successful procurement of a beautiful black 24 gt!! Now this is my 7th new vehicle purchase and the last 4, including this awesome ride have come with no gas cap..:frown: I was always able to find an aftermarket one that locks... that's the important part... from local parts stores. I'm not finding anything for this car!! Has anybody found anything that works? Thanks all!

This is the one for the S550. Shoot Bernie at Levittown Ford a PM and see if he can tell you if it will fit a 2024.

Why do you feel the need for a locking gas cap?

To compliment the discussion, it'd be a good idea to confirm a filler funnel exists, for anyone's car. Odds are it's there. But the driver might not be familiar with it and why used.

The cap-less system relies on two flaps. A nozzle of the correct size and length has to be inserted in the filler neck to open both. Gas pump, sure. But a gas can, as in when you've run out of fuel? Or a bottle of Stabil? No.

In the trunk of the Mustang, there is a small, white funnel; this funnel will open both traps. See images below.

There's a 99.9% chance 7G owners have one in the trunk.

I was aware of the cap-less system, but I did not know about the flaps until I attempted to add Stabil my first year; it did not go well.

That's funny... yeah I was trying to do something the other day that was easy years ago but with modern technology... well, I never figured out where the"num lock" key on my new Logitech mk570 is...:curse:

From what I've read, you can't siphon gas from a vehicle that has the Easy Fuel system.

I've seen two impediments to getting fuel out by siphoning.

As @Bikeman315 :thumbsup:points out, the difficulty of getting the right-sized hose into the tank. At the bottom of the neck, there's at least one "X" restrictor, like a cross; the small hose has to enter one of the four openings just right to get past it.

Complimenting that restrictor or as part of it is a flap or assembly for fuel loss if the car is rolled over. It's a one way unit, good letting gas in, but no gas out. Hence, the need for the stiffer tubing.
