With the S550 discontinued, parts like the covers have been selling at a discount. If you have ready access to one to try out, you could do that. But I doubt it'd fit well or look good. They are tailor made to those models and fit like a sweater.

I have one of Ford's indoor covers for my '22. They are nice. The materials are holding up very well. It's a combination of felt and microfiber. Snug, clean fit without excess. You want that in any cover. A poorly-fitting cover can shift, move, rub the finish and/or let dirt and contaminants in.

If the factory price for an S650 cover isn't working for you, set up a search on eBay and check it once a week or so. You could also continue to check back here, in the Member Classified area.

I haven't studied the topic for the S650, but if you begin shopping around, confirm the PN#. On the S550, they made several variants, for different models, different wings.

I have a 2024 GT Convertible and my Ford S550 cover fits like a glove.
Amazing. Thanks!
Waiting on a convertible Gt and bought the cover already. Phew

@BobU how is that cover treating your car? Any scratches or anything from it? I keep my new s650 GT convertible parked outside and want to invest in a car cover but others have told me the cover itself could scratch the paint! I find that hard to believe so just wandering how your experience has been with it? Is that also one directly from Ford? Very pricey but if it's worth it and safe on the car I'll definitely shell out the money for it.

Looks perfect! Thanks for sharing. I saw a California special one for sale at a good price and jumped the gun. Checked measurements online and looked really close but seeing two side-by-side got me nervous.

Your car must be super clean no dust etc. Removal must be performed in a certain manor. Otherwise scratches will happen. I have used covers over 50 years mostly indoors.

I have not had any problems with scratching. I used it all last year on my S550.
You have to be careful not to put it on when your car is dirty/dusty as that will be picked up on the inside of the cover and it could cause scratches.
This cover is from ford. I have also had good results on a previous car with a cover from WeatherTech but that was more expensive.

@dusman59 can you expand on this? I want an outdoor car cover for my s650 GT convertible but I'm afraid the cover itself can scratch the paint

If you park outside in a protected area might help but wind will tend to work the cover and ware the paint. There is plenty info on YouTube. For outside storage you would best get a good paint treatment.

The cover doesn't scratch the paint but It has to fit snugly. Mine has been on the car in strong winds and it is not tied down. I think that after a few years the elastic edges will loosen up and It may become floppy. That could eventually cause some chaffing. It is now two years old and it is holding up well.

The cover from my S550 Shelby fits perfectly on my DH with the HP wing!
