Nobody has still answered why there isn't one on the Dark Horse R.

And what about this Mustang GT4 $250k race car?

The reason why Dark Horse R, GT4 and hell maybe even a GT3 does not have a STB is because they come equipped with a roll cage that also ties to the front structure of the car. Adding a welded in roll cage significantly stiffens the chassis of the car more so than just tying in the two struts on the front top half of the car.
