This why, I won't let a dealer do anything to my vehicles, to date. The dealer culture is get the vehicle in and out as fast as possible. If the book says labor hours for the job is 2 hours and they can get it out in an hour, they still get paid for 2. This causes technicians to rush thru jobs...
Let me just post this too. I may have answered my question:
Number of engineers in the USA 2008, 1.6 million.
http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos027.htm
Number of lawyers in the USA in 2007, 1.14 million.

I wonder what the ratios of these two...
About to do some serious suspension mods to the 2025 GT. Practically every bolt and nut requires the replacement according to the Ford factory manual because they're torque to yield. I've been doing this along time, Fox body, SN195 etc. I've never seen this. Calling the dealerships looking for...
What's everyone doing to lock the hub to torque the spacer to the hub? Am I over thinking this? I'm using the Steeda recommended 1" front and 20mm rear.
Four bolt cross member and two nut torque specs, such conflicting info....what's the torque? Ford manual seems light and a misprint, to me. Lighter torque on the cross member bolts, heavier on the nuts???? I'm not removing the isolator bolts just the nuts to the cross member and the nuts from...
I'm the OCD guy, years of flying and working on things you can't just pull over on the side of the road. Lite coat of oil an muscle it down, good enough.
This is what I do, because as you have, I've heard too many stories of minimum wage monkeys doing oil changes, no offense I was one too, gotta start somewhere. Plus Ford gets oil in 55 gallon drums, not always the best. Licensed aircraft mechanic now (join the Air Force please) and have been...
Who's got the scoop on pad upgrades for autocross and occasional HPDE events? I've been a fan of Hawk products for decades, but they don't seem to make any pads for the 2025, EBC either. Why is no one producing pads for these cars? Doing a rotor change to Baer Eradispeed and want to change pads...
Some how I thought that the rims were the same sizes, just the tires were different sizes. Someone check me on this. I just bought a used set of wheels off a 2020 PP car and they're all the same, I'll re measure today to confirm.
Just bought a set of used 2020 PP rims, and am looking for a suitable tire combo all the way around. So with the lowered car and 305's did you have any rubbing issues. Also are you using any spacers? Thanks.
I saw that it was mentioned drilled and slotted vs. just slotted, with the latter being recommended for the track because of heat. Do the Drilled and slotted just not hold up on a tracked car well? I'd like to track mine maybe twice a year at COTA, but like the looks of the drilled an slotted...
