Does anyone know why Ford deleted wireless charging for S650 MY25?

Supposedly, the vent holes (no air coming from them that I can feel) is supposed to keep the iPhone (and Android?) from overheating. If the capacity is under about 50% charge, and you're using it, my iPhone does overheat to the point it shuts off. As a result, I do not use the wireless charging.
i took my center console apart to investigate this. it looks like the fan that blows air is actually pulling air from the charger and pushing it under the center console, not blowing air onto the phone

Probably a cost cutting move. Which is really unfortunate. Wireless charging is a common and expected feature on most new car premium trim packages. I have no issues with mine.
I'm one of the few that is really happy with the wireless charger. Works like a charm.
My wireless charger slower than I want to but it works! On my Samsung I have it automatically switch to power saver every time I'm in the car so it doesn't heat up as much when charging, then goes back to regular mode when I turn the car off. I love it.
Same as the above. I have no issues with mine. Have a Pixel 7. No issues with the wireless charger or with Android Auto stability. Not sure why they removed it as Android Auto drains my phone pretty fast. Wireless charging keeps the battery at or above it's initial charge so I'm happy.

I wasn't asking or looking for anyone to agree. Just sharing my experience. As @Skye would say, and I quote: YMMV

I've never liked the feature. The phone gets hot and it doesn't always charge. When it does, it keeps disconnecting itself, which gets annoying since you keep hearing it. With the port right there, that's probably the better option.

Probably your phone case or a compatibility issues.

My Hyundai and Genesis both had troubles charging, my Mustang is hit or miss, I just need to set it down perfectly (and I don’t use a case).

Don’t really care if it gets hot, not like I keep phones that long anyway.

Well, your experience isn't normal. I'd consider taking it in if it's that bad. Maybe you have a bad charger.
How many people do you need to hear say it doesn't work well , before you would consider it normal ? I am glad it works good for you. You got a good one !

I have been using wireless charging for years , always with the latest greatest Samsung phone , and never had any problems with wireless charging until the Mustang charger. Case or no case. I have used one every night for as long as they have been around. Phone never gets hot on any other wireless charger I use.

I do agree it may work better without any case on the phone , but let's be realistic , most everyone uses a case. Even the thinnest case causes the Mustang charger to become basically useless. I have heard over and over again from people on here saying theirs don't work worth a 💩. So I'd say it's normal to not work properly. If FORD starts replacing faulty chargers , I will be next in line to have ours replaced , so let us know how it goes if you take it in.
