Differential Oil Recommendations

Has anyone did the diff oil yet? I have the standard 3.15 GT LSD Differential; the one with the clutch pack, not Torsen. I plan on using Amsoil 75W-90 severe gear oil. It has some friction modifier in it, but I’m not sure if what’s in it is enough. Had anyone did this work yet? Did you have to add any additional XL-3?

I just did the diff in my S550... same 3.15 w/clutch pack using some mobil 1 diff oil which said the friction modifier was included... after a few days, there was a bit of noise when turning in reverse, so I added the XL-3 (after removing some fluid)... all quiet now.

I used Motorcraft Diff Fluid (on S550 and S650) and XL3, didn't have to worry if it already had some friction modifier or not.
