mmm, my mustang does have an intermitent delay on the driver door. Sometimes it worked immediately, others need to pass figer a few times....but the passenger door, works fine every time....better antenas on that side??Update: I had my dealer look at it yesterday. The service advisor let me speak directly to the shop foreman / tech and he said the antennas on the Mustang aren't as large or well-placed as those on my '21 Explorer (my point of comparison for how this feature should work) and the behaviour is typical and they can't do anything about it.
I'm not super happy about this but I'm getting used to it. I'll probably need to get used to it again next spring after mostly driving my other car which locks/unlocks every time on the first try.
Exactly the same with my Mustang....My driver-side lock is definitely intermittent. It works perfectly every time on the passenger side though.
Same on my Mustang...better sensors on passenger side?Mine works perfectly on the passenger side but the driver side has been very finicky. This is with the Fob in my front pocket.
It's so weird. Some days, it works every time I use it, and some days, I have to tap it 3 or 4 times before it registers. I have never had an issue on the passenger side.Exactly the same with my Mustang....
Hmm... What does this remind us of? Temperamental, sensitive to touch, can never quite... find... the right... SPOT...It's so weird. Some days, it works every time I use it, and some days, I have to tap it 3 or 4 times before it registers. I have never had an issue on the passenger side.
I tend to "point" my key fob pocket at the door when I push the button and it seems to help. So the fob is close to the handle when pushing it.Mine works perfectly on the passenger side but not at all on the drivers door. Am I reading correctly that there is nothing that the service department can do to fix this issue?
Mine too!Mine works just fine.
If the car is not working as expected, return to the dealer to discuss and possibly schedule an appointment.Am I reading correctly that there is nothing that the service department can do to fix this issue?
