We just recieved the following information for our Ford rep about the Dark Horse orders:

"Mustang Dark Horse RETAIL orders must have the 67P Dark Horse Handling Package removed, so they are eligible to schedule this Thursday, 11/30/23. Package 67P is not expected to be available for the remainder of the model year."

We understand this is disapointing but this has come straight from Ford and now us. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Right now the 2 options we have for you are to remove the package to see your Dark Horse order or we can refund your $1,000 deposit.

Please let me know by tomorrow what you have decided! If you have any question, please give us a call.

Sorry bout your bad luck as well. My email back to the dealer was I would try again next MY and hopefully Ford would have their crap together enough to actually produce enough cars for the customers willing to pay for them to turn a profit. Guess it’s a wait and see for the next OY. Good luck with your path forward.

This all makes sense to me now why when I got the call from my dealer (yesterday) that I could put in my order ONLY if I did not want the HP, which I didn't. Seems to me GrabberBlueFan is right about builds with the HP being held up.

The only part that i am not 100% certain on is my dealer told me (they said from ford corporate) that they doubt there will be a dark horse next MY or at least without a HP option. But like i said, i have no idea if that is accurate

Talked to Ford and my dealer today, Ford said that the handling pack is still getting produced for the model year and that no one has been notified in the marketing team about that change. The production notes are being misread by someone in the thread. They say if you have one w/o handling package that it has to be scheduled, otherwise the dealer will lose their allocation for that scheduling period. It says nowhere on there that they aren’t scheduling handling pack cars for the rest of the model year. Also my dealer said that my order is waiting to get picked and that the priority code was changed to a 3 today. It has AP and HP on it.

A local dealer has one with the handling package that they can’t unload and are selling for 1000 below sticker if anyone is interested… It is an automatic. They will ship across the country. If you call them, ask for Steve Mikus.

My dealer was told no DH Hanfling Packages until April-ish!

I have been searching instock DH with HP at every dealer , and the 3 that i found, its either a color i dont want or there marking it up 5K+ Still searching......

My dealer is talking directly to Ford reps and they can't provide a clear answer. I am Allocation #3 of 5 for this dealership and they already fulfilled the first two. I have yet to be notified about dropping the HP. Seems like some dealers are being told the package gone for the rest of the MY and some dealers are saying it's "unavailable until further notice" which was the situation with Mach 1 HP's.

With that being said, I asked my dealership to draw up an invoice for HP parts minus the wheels, tires, and revised chasis tuning. Surely they have everything else available.
