Hey Guys! I was thinking of ordering bulk “grille inserts” or nostrils. I have a guy that could paint match them to Factory ford colors for me to sell to the members/public. My question would be, how much interest in this would there be. 1. 2, being what price would you sell them at?.

Now you got me wondering how the S650 would look like if the grille nostrils and surround were body color matched or a mid/dark steel or gunmetal color instead of just gloss black...

You will have a lot of aggravation trying to get them to match the color of the car

Look at bumper covers in a parking lot sometime

You will notice most of them are just a shade off the color of the surrounding painted metal pieces.

Trying to paint black plastic to match a body color is not easy.

That is why a contrasting color works for scoops and vents

Unless you are a paint shop with a mixing system, and the ability to tint to match, and cars to look at and hold the part up against I'd say it is a great idea, but you are going to have to charge a LOT of money to cover the cost of the part, prep, paint, shipping and cover the number of returns you are going to get when people get them and are unhappy with the color match.

I think painted nostrils cross the line into "overdone" territory. Sometimes, less is more!
Agreed. I know the front end styling on the S650 is somewhat divisive. But I really like the grille the way it is. Its definitely an improvement over the standard S550 grille IMO.
