Looks like a good service, that is different from what they're doin with mine. With mine they are lubricating the output shaft I believe that is the anti tinq ring. Not done yet. Will update when done.

I hear clunking from time to time too. Thought it was just some slop in the driveshaft but if it’s faulty I would like to know.

Usually occurs when I’m waiting at the stop light and engage the 1st gear in the manual. It hasn’t been repeatable though. I have the Torsen as well. I vaguely remember during my time of test driving other GTs that it had the sound too, but not certain.
FWIW I do remember my 2018 GT making a thump noise every now and then when putting the car in first gear. It just randomly happened every now and then. Definitely not something I could repeat on command. My issue was abnormally loud clunks during shifts (regardless of gear) and clunking after quickly removing load from the vehicle. Also had a creaking/groaning noise that happened when releasing the clutch. That specific noise went away after the first dealer replaced the flywheel assembly and throw out bearing.

Got my 26 GT PP yesterday and I thought maybe it was normal for these cars. I hear an audible clunk when stopped and putting the car in 1st. Gonna have the dealership check it out based on this thread.

FYI....
The OP got his transmission replaced due to LTIS...
Low time in service.
Warranty rules, I dont recall the specifics length of time / mile limits....
You verify it's an internal issue & if you fall within LTIS, the tech doesnt have to teardown & repair.
Same goes with engines.

Chances are though if they took the trans apart, they wouldnt have seen anything & would have been clueless about what to replace to resolve the issue.

Ive said it before...
I dont recall what years, prior to 22...
Was normal to hear a loud clunk noise if youre slamming through gears while coasting at low speeds with the clutch pedal on the floor, along with even at a stand still...
The loud clunk transfer through the driveshaft & is VERY pronounced.

Ive heard it many of times & pretty much normal....
