I have 155 miles on my 25 DH and decided to pull the dipstick. The level was barely and I mean barely touching the lower dot. I put a 1/2 qt of oil in it and it now registered right in the center of the cross hatch area.
I had heard Ford is shipping these things ‘low’ on oil and it appears how you look at it the levels are 1/2-1 qt low from the factory.

I bought a 2020 f150 a few years ago with about 35k on it. First oil change shocked to see no oil on the stick.
Brought to the dealer and they adjusted a few things, couple months later same thing.
Turned out crankshaft had issues with the seals. They put in a full block for me new from factory under warranty, no issues since.

I also have a German Shepherd, coincidence???

How did you get the dipstick out without buring your hands on the bracem

That's disappointing, to say the least.

Curious, I read Ford's Pre-Delivery Inspection checklist. While the attached specifically says check the windshield washer bottle and coolant reservoir, it says nothing about checking the oil level. That's a fail. It does say check all under hood components for leaks. Someone might have very well done that. And seen nothing. But it's not the same as checking the dipstick, is it?

Glad to hear you got things sorted. :whew:

I did 20 years in the car business if you think PDI exists you are grossly mistaken. Ford may have a procedure and a checklist but that doesn’t mean it is done.
Mark off the sheet, turn it in and then move on and lie about the next one.
