Duh! Yes, I know. It is a different system but that’s what he seems to want it to do!!!
Blue Cruise is totally different from what he is talking about

No, he wants lane centering, which we do have as an option. But i've learned that it's only on auto transmissions.

I’ve seen your posts on the centering vs keeping. My 25 GT automatic only does lane-keeping. No difference between cruise on or off. After your original post I have tried it but mine never does lane-centering. Even with good lines on the road.

But I just reread all the posts and realize that the issue for me may be the ASS. I turn that off when I start my car, so I will see if there is a difference with ASS on.

It doesnt have anything to do with the start stop. Lane centering only works when using adaptive cruise control.

Crazy stuff! No change for me using adaptive cruise control. Just the same lane-keeping. I’ll be making a long trip later this week and will give it a full test!

Very strange. I have a Canadian Mustang.
Do you also have the 401A package?

Agree. Mine is US, and GT Premium automatic with 401A. Convertible. Hoping that I can find the settings for centering in my car. Right now I rarely use the lane-keeping.

I just reviewed LANE-CENTERING in the owners manual. I will confirm my settings and do some testing later this week. Thanks for your inputs.

Make sure you are using adaptive cruise control. It only works with adaptive cruise control.

At least that's how mine works. Mine takes even sharp corners by itself staying completely in the center.
You do not have lane centering. Thats only with the bluecruise cars/trucks. I have an explorer ST and it has bluecruise and its a dream to use the lane centering even with just adaptive cruise, not even full autonomous bluecruise.

If you have lane centering, you will see blue brackets inside the lane marks that match up to your car icon meaning its keeping the car centered, not just lane departure assist where it shows the orange brackets outside the lane marks when you approach the edges of the lanes.

But no the mustangs at any trim level do not have lane centering no matter if you have adaptive cruise or not.

It does and I use it frequently.

Here you go:

— Lane-Keeping System with Lane-Keeping Aid, Lane Keeping Alert, Driver Alert, Road Edge Detection, and Blind Spot Assist – when equipped with 6-speed Manual Transmission (44X)

— Lane-Keeping System with Lane Centering Assist, Lane-Keeping Aid, Lane Keeping Alert, Driver Alert, Road Edge Detection, and Blind Spot Assist, when equipped with 10-speed SelectShift® Automatic Transmission (44U)
— Pre-Collision Assist Automatic Emergency Braking, and Evasive Steering Assist

Imo the only use case for lane centering assist is for driving on a long straight highway for 60+ miles, which I do very often. I’m not aways in the mood for speeding in a straight line. Lane KEEP assist is usually pretty useless so I turn it off too. But trust me I don’t think anyone who bought a manual mustang is “relying” on it lol especially not anywhere that you’d be doing backroads or spirited driving.
This would in theory be the perfect use case for lane centering, but I have this on my Expedition (not sure if it’s even on my Mustang) and find it useless because once I’ve been driving dead straight on the highway for 30s or so the car starts warning me to put my hands back on the wheel (they already are), so I have to give the wheel a little shake or the warnings get louder and more urgent and eventually the car starts doing little brake checks to wake up the driver!

Only way to fully utilise lane centering imo is if you have BlueCruise and can actually let go of the wheel, but as noted that isn’t available on the Mustang.

I have lane centering on mine. I've used it few times. It drives the car itself and goes around turns you name it. The only issue is you have to touch wheel little bit every 15 sec or so I haven't counted. But point is it works just fine. I think its a variation of bluecruise. Like not the full thing. "Bluecruise lite" if you will.

I almost felt the need to make a video, and then I realized who said I do not have lane centering.

It's like discussing with Zig. You have 5 Dollars in your hand and another person who never saw that 5 Dollars tells you that you don't have it.
