Long time Corvette owner, sold them all. Always wanted a Mustang, so plan to buy my first Ford Mustang GT, Vert this spring on factory order. I am not familiar with the Ford Dealerships in Central Florida, and varies schemes used to rip off customers, but I am sure like all other GM or Ford Dealerships they are sharks and often nasty to deal with customers. So I am near Kissimmee area, but will not limit distance if I get a good honest (?, remains to be seen) dealership in Florida. I will use the internet to find best offer, and best offer gets my business and only then will I go to dealership and place order. Paying cash, and this include best offer on extended warranty. I am hoping somebody can help me out here. IF YOU ARE A DEALER AND RESPOND I WILL TRACE IP ADDRESS even if you proxie, (retired Network Engineer (CCIE)). So looking for club members and possible Mustang Club to join. Timeline will order factory not repeat no lot car, in late March, with good deposit. I want OUT THE DOOR prices only, NO DEALER ADDONS, especially paint protedtion ets, what as is from FACTORY. Can anybody help me out here.? THANKS
If distance isn't a criterion, since 2010 I have purchased 7 vehicles (6 Mustang GTs and one F-150), from Englewood Ford in Englewood Florida (150 miles). Since some dealers try to fast talk and confuse you, I will say that I have no complaints with sales or service, in the 16 years I have dealt with them. It's a relatively small dealership and they are willing to negotiate. Just remember "Caveat Emptor." Good Luck and Enjoy!

I reside on Saint Simons Island, Ga. but recently purchased my GT from AutoNation Ford located in Sanford Florida. Devin Tamargo, New Car Sales manager, gave me the best price within a 500 mile range, and had car delivered to me. Purchased on line and was treated great.

Apparently, "all" Ford dealerships are NOT "sharks" or "nasty" to deal with....... :sunglasses: But then, maybe it's because they haven't met you yet .........

Dealer experience is partly a result of what attitude a potential customer brings in the door with them. There are all kinds of ways a dealer uses to get rid of these people. Don't be one of them and your experience might be better.

Call Vadim at Jarrett Scott Lincoln in Davenport tell him Jeff told you. Although he works on the Lincoln side he knows mustangs. It’s one of a few family owned around and you won’t get a better deal. I was taking to him yesterday and he said they are not accepting allocations for the SC as they won’t sell above MSRP which he thinks ford is going to require for market

I had to fly into Atlanta and I uber to Dallas, Georgia Hardy Ford. Im from Miami, Fl. Every dealer down here were all bad. One dealer told me that they had the car just like the one Hardy Ford had but they had to charge me $1200 more. I asked why? Their response: because thats how much it cost you to fly to Atlanta and bring it down. I laughed and walked out. I drove it back from Georgia to Miami with a smile from ear to ear. Wish you all the best.

If you don't mind traveling, dealers in Virginia (Coons) and Iowa (Grainger) will often get you great prices.

I bought my DH out of Ohio. I bought my previous car, a Zupra, also out of Ohio. M4 from Michigan.

Don't limit yourself to local dealers.

Greetings all,

I have made my choice and will be working the Sarasota Ford. I sent out my specifics to over 15 dealers, of which 13 replied with written offers, and this includes their Allocation Priority codes, and I feel best is with Sarasota. On cruise now and will be visiting dealer when I return, SO THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INPUT, means alot to me. I will be posting later what I am going to purchase. Yes, a GT, was going with Ecoboost, but my Corvette/Camaro instincts said V8, no replacement for cubic displacement.... CHEERS

I didn't see anyone else mention this, so I will (as I didn't know about it prior to buying my '24 GT).

Join the Mustang Club of America; the membership is quite reasonable. Membership of at least 90 days PRIOR to ordering your new "Stang makes you eligible for Ford's X Plan pricing (was like a couple grand off MSRP or something like that back when I bought mine).

If I'm incorrect, or the MCA-X Plan details have changed;; hopefully one of our more knowledgeable members will chip in with the "real deal".

Good luck with you new Mustang! 👍

I had a good experience at Autonation in Bradenton. In late 2025, I bought an in-stock convertible GT manual with PP. heck of a deal. They sell a lot of Mustangs. Worth a call.

I purchased my DH from Kendall Ford in Miami. I'm out of State, but the process has been seamless and my sales guy is awesome.

There's a few good ford dealers in Florida which have been mentioned here already. I definitely wouldn't consider Sarasota Ford one of them. Definitely one of the higher priced dealers in the state and like to push packages and add ons. They are the typical type of car dealer that gives dealerships a bad name.

Did not buy from Sarasota, learned about the games they played. Used Ford X-Plan through Weikert Ford, and very happy with results. Through my dealing they appear to be straight and have no Dealer Add ons. So car build date 28 April. See how it goes, but did not go to Sarasota. Just did not feel right.

Watch the doc fee on the X plan, the amount they can charge is severely limited by Ford, and the ask ( more like non negotiable demand) for doc fees in Fl is mind blowing.

Also any incentives are in addition to the X plan

I used the X plan thru Mustang Club of America ( $35/yr dues) to buy my car.

Outside of writing the check for the deposit, and the check to pay it off when the first payment was due, the X plan process was pretty painless.
