Long time Corvette owner, sold them all. Always wanted a Mustang, so plan to buy my first Ford Mustang GT, Vert this spring on factory order. I am not familiar with the Ford Dealerships in Central Florida, and varies schemes used to rip off customers, but I am sure like all other GM or Ford Dealerships they are sharks and often nasty to deal with customers. So I am near Kissimmee area, but will not limit distance if I get a good honest (?, remains to be seen) dealership in Florida. I will use the internet to find best offer, and best offer gets my business and only then will I go to dealership and place order. Paying cash, and this include best offer on extended warranty. I am hoping somebody can help me out here. IF YOU ARE A DEALER AND RESPOND I WILL TRACE IP ADDRESS even if you proxie, (retired Network Engineer (CCIE)). So looking for club members and possible Mustang Club to join. Timeline will order factory not repeat no lot car, in late March, with good deposit. I want OUT THE DOOR prices only, NO DEALER ADDONS, especially paint protedtion ets, what as is from FACTORY. Can anybody help me out here.? THANKS

I’m in SF and bought mines from Mullinax Ford. Price from the ford.com site was dropped by about 2k when I was ordering it at the dealer. 3 months later it came in and no changes on price. Of course finance guy asked about warranty and such, which I simple denied and just got my final promised OTD price.

Is Mullinax straight, Heard couple of things about them, especially with lack of communication, were you satisfied? Got name of decent sales manager or advisor>

Honest for you or them? What's in it for the dealer from you that they can't do better with someone else? What's your finder's fee?

Ok let them go to somebody else. I just want a fair price, nothing more. Finders Fee? for what? Thanks but no thanks. Appreciate your view, but will pass.

If you're retired, you should have time to make some phone calls. Get your build sorted out on Ford's Build & Price and start calling dealers for a price. If they won't give you a price on the phone, move on to the next.

Thank you appreciate advise. Problem is I am not too familar with the Ford Dealers here in Florida to know which one knows Mustangs, and not trucks. From what I see most Ford dealers here in Kissimmee seem to have lots full of trucks. I do plan to start calling but still doing my research. Thanks for taking the time and effort, cheers.

Key is not only to get a good dealer but also get one that has a good allocation for ordering mustangs. you can very easily order two of the exact same cars from different dealers and one may never get built and you could have the other in two months. That said I use and live near Lebanon Ford in Lebanon Ohio, never had any add on's and they have been good to deal with other than the usual back and forth on trade in values. If you want to DM me i can give you my guys name.

The sales guy I worked with I think no longer works there. But can always just ring them and ask about pricing. The one I went to is in West Palm.

I've purchased 5 Fords in the last 10 years from Dave Q at Kisselback Ford in St Cloud and he's always taken good care of me and my needs. They are mainly a truck dealer but could always get me what I wanted at a good price and has been a stand up guy with me. He's worth a call for sure.

Dealership I was talking about was in Kissimmee, but Palm Beach not out of the question. Thank You.

No problem. Last time I spoke with him(September of '25) they had allocations for GT's but were limited on the DH. These things are hard to predict though so it's probably best to ask him.

There are a lot of GT's that have been sitting on lots for a while. My advice would be to check the inventory of various dealerships around and see if you can find something that closely matches your build. That is the best way to get a great deal.

As far as recommending dealerships, I've bought a couple of vehicles from Ferman Ford in Clearwater, but that is a bit of hike for you. They were great to work with, and honest. I ordered a Bronco from them during the early launch phase and they honored the MSRP price even though they could have easily gotten another 15k by pulling it from me and putting on their lot.

Go to a dealership site and read the reviews - read enough and you should have a pretty good idea what to expect. Your attitude when talking with any dealership personnel will determine how well you do. Look at a Long McArthur (huge Ford dealership) youtube videos on how to order a Ford Mustang and how allocations work. I have ordered a 2026 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. It is being built in Feb for delivery in Mar.....if you want yours by June you had better get moving. As you were already advised by a forum member - find a dealer with a good allocation and talk with the ordering desk to ensure they set your dealer order at a high priority. The lower their priority number the better - but - again a low dealer priority number is useless if they don't have a good allocation number. IMO - don't put your decision on the shoulders of forum members, get off your butt and do some research, it's easy to do.
