Exactly. If your AZ plan only gets you 4K off. you can do better right now just walking in and taking the 5K off they are offering to everybody.
I bought a Dark Horse. Not eligible for AZ Plan pricing. I was able to avoid ADM.

AZ Plan (employee) on a $60K MSRP Mustang is right around $4K, and you expect $9K?

:cwl:
This right here… my car stickered for 48k, A plan got it down to 43.4K

people like to tell “TALL TALES”
I don’t think you’d get 9K off a leftover 2022 eco.

I suppose if someone prefers to buy old crap that's been sitting on the lot for 9 months they can save some money when the dealership wants to get rid of their junk that isn't moving, that's up to them. But I don't.

We weren't discussing years old cars, or Dark Horses. I said I will get 9K off a 24 GT. You guys don't think so. Your opinion. Keep over paying for cars. Be my guest.

Generally a new car looses 25% of its value the day you drive it off the lot.

I'm shocked it only lost that much. Used car values are dropping along with new car prices. Cars that had large ADM's are now below MSRP. That's why I'm hoping to get about 9k off of my Mustang purchase on a 60k MSRP.
9k? Rocket how much gross do you think dealers make on a car? Just curious. Dealer would probably lose about 6-7k selling it for that. Average gross on a new vehicle is only 2k. I’m a Ford dealer.

BS. Browsing 2 or 3 dealers right now the discounts are closer to 6k than 5k. Not some may qualify, discounts from MSRP.

2024
MSRP $56,235
Ford Mustang GT Premium
$50,481
New

2024
MSRP $56,020
Ford Mustang GT Premium
$50,276
New

240034

Just 2 examples. I've looked at literally dozens in the last 30 minutes.

I'm not going to argue with you guys. Don't be jealous because some buyers are getting better deals than you are getting or giving.
I'm out. Enjoy your Mustangs.

Out of curiosity I shipped my car around at CarMax, Dodge dealer and Chevrolet dealer. Pretty much $42k to $44k. I’m shocked this car has lost this much value
My dealership sold my first 24 for 46k, it was a GT premium PP with magneride and active exhaust. It listed at just over 60k when I ordered it. To be fair it did have paint work done on it from shipping damage and 4500 miles by the time I traded it in for the replacement car.

Its a mass produced car..... we are just now (in last few years) seeing Fox Bodies appreciate in value some 40 years later...

In between then and now- I mean look what 10 year old Mustangs are selling for.... high teens/ low 20s- you can pick up 15-20 year old Mustangs and they are under 10K

Even C8 prices are falling off a cliff....

Just wait until they do the midlife cycle refresh - prices will drop again

They lose 10% once you drive them off the lot
more like 15. OP's 25% haircut is an artifact of it's too early in the season, everyone is up to their gills in used Mustangs as it is, and with high interest rates, nobody is buying anyway.

Buy a car and take it back the next week and see if you can get anywhere near 90% for it. Not happening.
2020 GT350, left the lot for only 12 hours. Guy lost 10k on a 65k MSRP. That was a really raw deal. Sheehy Springfield Ford. And he was buying a different car FROM THEM. But they shoved it in DEEP because they could.
