Hello Everyone,
If I sit in my 2024 Mustang GT premium with the ignition off and I lock my door, the alarm goes off. I turned off the car alarm system via the infotainment screen but this still happens. Is this just something I have to accept or is there a way to stop this from happening?

Thanks,
Louis

Interior motion sensor. It's so you can lock the car with the windows down and keep someone from reaching in to grab something. Been a feature since 2015.

I'm sure it can be switched off in the security menu. If not, just don't lock your car with the fob from inside.

EDIT:
You can turn motion sensors off under the alarm settings. If you have them set to on, the car will ask you if you want leave them on (yes or no) when ever you turn the car off. Next time all you have to do is select no if you are going to stay inside and lock it. 👍🏻

Note that motions sensors appear to be interior and exterior together.

You need to turn on the 'ask on exit' for the motion sensor which then pops up on the driver display (not sync) when you turn the engine off. You can then choose to disable the motion sensors.

This has only happened once to me, and I didn't know what it was. The Owner's Manual solved the issue, but also made me keep it turned on.

I lock myself in the car all the time using the button on the door and I don't answer the question if I want motions on or off or whatever it asks when u turn the car off. Never had the alarm go off once. Nothing is disabled in the menu either. It's probably from using the fob to lock. Just hit the button on door from inside the car

So I got a notification once about the alarm when something shifted and fell within my car, but no sound? Does the alarm not have any sound? No beeping horn or anything, just a notification on FordPass?

Not sure. Ive never had movement inside my car while locked. Probably depends on the security setting. 🤷‍♂️

The alarm has a sound but only for about 90 seconds (in the UK anyway)
