Braided Stainless Brake Line Ends

I'm considering having my OEM brake line ends swapped out for a braided stainless line end kit; to improve/firm up pedal feel. Anyone done this mod? If so; what's your assessment of the mod? Did pedal feel/firmness improve? TY!

Braided brake lines on a DH will improve the pedal feel and performance. You will notice it mostly if you track your vehicle. Along with upgraded pads, I had to adjust to how firm the pedal became and the stopping distance.

It changes feel with the drive mode
They won't be able to do anything to change it
They will probably just mostly be confused

While the "feel" in a brake by wire system should not change by adding stainless lines because the pedal does not connect directly to the brakes to provide feedback through the hydraulic fluid, it should change how the brakes respond. With hard braking using standard rubber lines there is some amount of expansion, which should be almost completely removed by going to stainless lines. As a result, the same amount of pedal pressure should result in a faster braking response as well as increased pressure applied to the pads when using the stainless lines because you eliminate or greatly reduce the expansion of the rubber lines.

Realistically, how much of a change is it? That I couldn't say, which is why I used the word "should" in the above explanation; I am saying what I expect to occur in theory. I don't personally see a benefit of switching to stainless lines for a daily driver, but it could be beneficial for a track car.

Disclosure: I purchased the J&M stainless brake lines for my car. I installed the fronts without any issues. On the first side when trying to replace the rear lines, I could not get the new hoses to connect without cross threading. The rear has two flexible hoses with a metal line in between. Replacement requires reusing the metal line and attaching the flexible hoses; this is where I had trouble. It was right before a track event, so I decided to cut my losses and reinstall the factory lines rather than risk running a cross threaded brake line and possibly spring a leak. So currently I am running the stainless lines up front and oem in the rear.

It's not brake by wire... just an electric power assist as opposed to vacuum assist used in older cars.
