I LOVE the new Darkhorse SC front end without the "bandit mask" paint job. I'm not a fan at all of the "fake grill" black painted bumper design phase.

The first two pics below are the new Darkhorse SC. The last is how I modded my '25 GT to cover the black sections. I LOVE how it came out, and think it looks MUCH more "Mustangy".

What do you guys think? Time for a front fascia change?

Yea, you buzzed me up when you first posted pics of your vert with the wrapped front sections. Looks much better than the OEM all black grill area. Guess Ford thought it looked better too! 😉

Planning on getting mine painted similarly this spring to what you had done. Already talked to my body shop about the job. 👍

P.S. I also like the new hood with the larger bulge. I wonder if it'd fit my car. (Probably not. It looks like it has the external hood anchor buttons there).

Yes, yes, yes! When the 2024 design came out, I really disliked the front end. It took me a long time to figure out what bugged me about it. It finally occurred to me that my big problem was the black "fat lip" under the grill. For decades, it has been an industry trend to give cars artificially large grills. So many cars have gigantic apparent grills, but when you look up close, you see that the air intake is less than half the size of the apparent grill. The S650 Mustang doesn't do that, but Ford gave it that fat lip to give the car the appearance of a larger grill from a distance.

Maybe a year ago, I decided that if I get an S650 Mustang GT, the first thing I'm going to do is take it to a body shop and have them paint the fat lip, the grill surround, and the "nostrils" body color, exactly as you have done. Now I have to admit that I'm not the only person to think of this mod. Your car looks great!

I should have added that I dislike the styling on the Dark Horse SC. It looks a bit Camaro-esque to me.

Have you thought about painting the hood Vent to correspond to the striping?

Actually, I specifically had the center "bar" on my hood vent matched to the stripe so it was more obvious it was not stock... it's the RTR vent. The Mustang hood is kinda flat and plain in my opinion. (I wish the center hump was a little higher). If I "concealed" the vent by completely matching the body, the hood would look even more humdrum.

Set up an appointment for May 11 with my body shop; to have my headlight bezels and black bumper cover trim bar color matched to my Rapid Red. w00t!

Do they make a wrap in Race Red, if so I will get mine wrapped. Just to preserve the OEM of the car.

I like the SC styling, or: it really has grown on me.

I talked to a wrap/custom shop last fall about doing a paint match for me. They said NO WAY!

So, it looks like a wrap option involves the entire car, and the expense attached to that.
