Is there much “seat of the pants” difference between the 3.55 and 3.73 gearing?
I have a GT Performance Pack and Active exhaust ordered, but I test drove a non PP with 3.55’s.
Honestly, it didn’t feel much faster than my Hyundai Genesis Coupe Track…

Not really. Most in a blind test would not be able to tell the difference.

If you are looking for the quickest acceleration, get the A10.

I have the 3.55 manual and I'm still hitting 0 -60 in 4.3 seconds in a convertible. I think they basically run the same 1/4 mile as 3.73 cars as well based on some non-track pack videos I have seen. I have always heard you have to jump up two gear levels to tell a difference. If you started with 3.55 and jumped to 4.09 you would probably notice. That is my plan if I stay N/A when tuning comes out. The 3.55 is also good to keep long term if you plan on going with boost from what I have heard.

I have 3.73 but I haven't tried a 3.55 to compare. I really like it, though. Very punchy and quick at the low-end.

If you think a GT with any trans or gears is no faster than your Genesis coupe, your seat of the pants needs recalibrating.

Years ago I owned a 94 Corvette 6speed and the Genesis ran similar 1/4 mile.

a 94 corvette was far from a low 12 second car. Unless it was a ZR1, and still not low 12's. High 12's maybe.

It was a 13.8-13.9 car, like the Genesis track 3.8

my point exactly. A low 12 sec car (24 mustang GT) feels nothing like a high 13 sec car

Mid 13 seconds, I don’t think a stock GT is low 12’s. I gunned it to 60 on the test drive, so maybe it picks up more on the higher speeds. I hope your right, low 12’s is awesome

There is a felt difference. I traded my 23GT w/3.55’s for my 24PP w/3.73. 4.09’s (or >) are the play with these anemic MT-82D4 gears. You chose well.

I would go 3.73 for sure but like you said either way the GT wont feel fast because lack of Torque , weight and very tall gears...3rd is already geared for 115 mph ! You buy it more for the experience like V8 sound and rowing your own gears instead of performance...IMHO

PP will probably do better 0-60 or 1/4 time because it has more traction with the 275's and maybe the torsen locking...
Difference between 3.55 and 3.73 is 5% but the tires sligthly larger will narrow it down to 2.5% or so.

Unless the tune is slightly different and makes it feel faster, IDK. They can do whatever they want with the software to twist your perception.
