The only compromise on a S650 Mustang is the colour, suspension and gearbox imho, all of those compromises are emotive ones not ones that radically change the S650. The reason I purchased this car is for the aftermarket parts which there are plenty. I have already changed the exhaust tips, added door striker plate covers, added door bolt covers and added an RTR Duck Bill Spoiler. Future mods will be 20" RTR Rims, study the Torsion Diff, study if you can change to a T56 Tremec which I have in my 71 XY. The Australia S650 GT's come with all the other fruit it was kind off worth the wait almost everybody on this forum has waited a minimum of 12 months to get their car, we were all hoping the 2025's wouldn't take so long but alas Ford and the tyranny of distance.Would like some advise or any opinions.
I ordered a vapour blue GT with black pack and magneride with manual transmission in April 24. Original delivery was late October 24 but that didn’t last to long before receiving notice of delays. Currently my car now a 25 build is April at the earliest. My dealer has given options of cars that have arrived which I insisted on the manual. In early November I verbally agreed on a carbonized grey manual with no options, sitting in the dealership and told I could have in 2 weeks. Then comes the recall….
Given no clear fix for the recall, I may only wait another month or two for the car I originally wanted.
Only compromised because I thought I was getting a car earlier.
This is getting very frustrating.
