Hi all, sharing my excitement with you. Collected this much awaited Pony earlier this week, can't wipe that smile off since. Loving every bit, the engine sound, looks, velocity, features and the list goes on. The 2 years plus wait was totally worth it, including the recall, I take relief that the issue is fixed now. Thanks for all of your support and posts, helped through this journey :)

Looking like those of us with vehicles already at a dealership aren't getting a fix on this side of the holidays, but hopefully it's on the way. No change to the recall page and no update from my dealer.

Correct AJW7765, now on top of a recall in Ford Pass we also get a letter to somehow make us feel better that a fix is coming in the first quarter of 2025. Sure, Ford Australia I will put that letter in my Stocking for Christmas.

Has anyone been given an ETA on their mustangs that are affected with the recall, but where at the dealership when the recall came into effect.

Nothing apart from Q1 2025. My dealer has a white GT as their demo car which is also affected. So they can't even demo with their demo😁😂

Nope, not a single thing. Just made a car payment on a vehicle I'm not driving :)

Mine was at the ford holding yard at port Kembla since the 6th November awaiting the fix. Delivered to the dealership a week ago & I picked it up Yesterday (Friday).

Congrats!
I'm keen to see this colour in the flesh.

Time to update your forum signature. 😉

At least without the Black Pack you can actually see and be proud of the front grille pony emblem - something I consider a massive fail with the factory Black Pack, if the aim is to provide accents.

Black on black is not an accent.

Has anyone's VIN status on Ford's website changed? Mine is still "remedy not available".

Don't know how true this is, but according to my dealer, the problem Ford now have is to get the fix to stick so to speak. Apparently they updated the cars, but any subsequent updates or changes via dealer tools reverts the change. This is apparently why the fix hasn't been released to dealers yet.

After 11+ weeks of ownership, I experienced the IPC going to black for the first time, yesterday.
My immediate reaction was "Oh f##k, here we go!" :curse:

However, it came back up again after 1 second or so.
May have been 2 seconds at the most... didn't even get the opportunity to consider changing lanes to pull over.

The information on the display didn't appear to suddenly update as it came back up, it was as if the display backlighting had simply faded down and back up again.

Was in sport mode, doing 100 ish on motorway, 5th gear, ASS off, hands-on-steering-wheel annoyance turned off (something I have only started doing in recent days, after learning about this). DAB radio running, along with Waze via bluetooth to Android phone at the time.

If it's a specific combination of conditions that are triggering this fault event, then I'm not surprised it took some time to determine a fix. There must be 1000's of different combinations of this and that.

I'd like to know why the cars held in pre-delivery can be updated, but those already out in the wild cannot, because "dealer tools revert the update back".

Or better yet, why they can’t inform the dealers that they have a fix and are nearing a resolution. My dealership is either truly getting told nothing or doesn’t care enough to check but this fix doesn’t even exist in their eyes.
