it was really easy. 15 mins tops. here are the instructions

ignore the "unplug the headlamp switch" part, these are technically the instructions to remove it, but all except unplugging it is required to swap out that panel anyways. there is a hole in the frame of the dash for the drawer, so everything should fit fine

That thing is for sunglasses? I thought was for a spare "just in case mag" for my P239. Didn't know people put weed in them. Oh well, too late for that. Plus it's legal now.

I will say that the holder gets hot. The afternoon sun in Florida is potent, and when I take my shades out the metal frame is a little toasty.
I agree. Better off leaving them in their case and put it in center console or door pocket.

Just traded my '16 in for a '24 and forgot to make sure it was empty. the new one had a hair clip in it that I guess the dealer missed when cleaning the car before putting it out for sale.

Yea. I had one in my Focus RS too; always keep a pair of shades in it in case it starts out cloudy and turns sunny at some point.

Yep. I knew a guy who got into his Mustang on an extremely hot day. He put his glasses which were in the glasses holder on. He pulled them off quickly along with some skin. Not a good place to keep things in the blazing sunlight. Cheap glasses will melt.
