You may see a Cobra from Ford but not a GT 350/500 as Ford owns Cobra and Shelby owns GT 350/ 500 and they have gone their own ways. Shelby will probably still make the The GT's but no more Ford collaboration. Don't even know who's going to sell them?

Isn't it strange how I keep hearing Shelby makes it's own GTs? Maybe Ford should take them to court for making the same cars? Sll Shelby really does is flap a bunch of parts of a Ford and sell it for $110. Was going to get one but all Shelby does is keep you on hold. So DH is what I got instead.

I can tell how much I like mine, 4000kms in 4 months, I averaged 500kms a month in my last two cars.
Being retired, I only drive when I have/want to.

Mine is not even here yet but cross shopped a M2, I just really wanted that V8, the Tremec, and the sound that comes with it. I do understand the love of the European cars though. I just don't know how many more chances I will get to own a V8 again so the time was now, well the time is when I finally get a build date ;)

Local Ford dealer wants both my mint 17 GT auto vert AND my 18 GT manual for base S650 straight swap.
Dark Horse, both cars plus $25k USD.

Can’t see value in any S650 atm.

I have 18000 km on mine (did it in 9 months) and I love it. Sure you pay M2 price for it, especially here in Europe, but BMWs are everywhere, Mustangs aren't, and DH is ever more unique. I guess they sold less than 20 DHs here in Poland so it makes it very unique. V8 plus manual is awesome, inside quality is better than I expected.

Compared to my previous 2021 Mach 1, on my 2025 DH, alignment of the hood, passenger side front fender, trunk lid, and rear panel supporting the spoiler were not as good as they should be. Body shops were reluctant to attempt adjustments as they were afraid to make things worse. I replaced the rear panel supporting the spoiler with the Anderson Composites Integrated Carbon Fiber Ducktail Spoiler after painting it to match the body color. It fits better than the factory part and looks better and sleeker.

Panel alignment is my only bitch as well….other than it really needed a whipple stock.

After the Whipple install it has been a blast to drive. Gotta let the wallet cool off a bit but I’ve got plans for winter upgrades already lol

Speaking frankly, this car is also better than my S550 which was also supercharged. The manual transmission is a lot of fun and I had forgotten how much I missed it.

The only major issue I’m having right now are the front fender flares. They took them off when the Whipple was installed and I don’t know if they have double-sided tape as well as pins or what but they don’t seem to fit as well as when I first got the car.

I may see about stripping them and getting new ones or stripping them and adding double-sided tape and then repinning them.

In Australia it’s $40k extra. I put it in USD. DH is $120k here

Same with me. Put a Whipple on mine it has the 6 spd. It's just as fun as a Shelby. Just without the flashy panels and badjing. I think the Dark Horse with the HP looks as good if not better than a Shelby.

Take off the DH badges, get Shelby badges, powder coat black, and call it a Shelby Dark Snake. Father in-law had me call Shelby, and I was on hold for too long, twice. So I talked him into better. 2023 Mach 1. No regrets.

Shelby is doing what Shelby has done for ever. The previous Shelby cars sold by ford were ford performance cars with a licensed badge. Even during those years Shelby was selling their own cars that looked nothing like the GT350/500.

Shelby is no different than RTR, or saleen. The previous gen 350/500 were Ford Performance cars just like the Dark Horse.
