Yes it would! I kinda regret now getting rid of my C8. ☹
Don’t get me wrong the DH is a phenomenal car. The C8 is a different driving experience being mid engine.

Exactly. I realized how spoiled I got driving an auto with the traffic I have to deal with going to work. I don't miss getting in/out...lol.

One thing I noticed when driving the DH that when shifting into 3rd gear while giving it the beans the car really launches which is something I never remember feeling in my Mach 1.

They would but whippled F150s spank corvettes and mustangs. They run with the teslas.
And a whipped corvette or mustang spanks a whippled F150, what's your point.

I remember seeing that a long time ago. Cool build with a Boss 429.
Which kinda makes be believe mid engine ain’t exactly something they haven’t looked into. The dh definition has such potential for an unexpected dominator. Not trying to imply anything just trying not to forget what they’re familiar with.

Just been doing some research and watching some videos on the new Stingray C8 and it looks really nice. All reviews say it is a great car.
I did have a Corvette a long time ago, was a C4 LT1, 1992. I liked it but that one seemed to have issues dragging the front end on driveways, etc. was pretty low.
If anyone on here does or has owned a C8, what trim level did you have? been researching if the 1LT, 2LT or 3LT would be best, about a 10K price difference between the 1LT to 3LT. that 3LT does look nice on videos. might have a better resale value?
I am not planning on trading probably until my warranty is up on my GT, so a couple more years, but just looking at what else is out there. Thanks.
Oh also I see they did redesign the interior for the 26 to get rid of that big wall of buttons so that is good. & the one main thing I see missing on the 1LT is the ventilated seats, I really like that in my GT premium, but with the cab size so small in the C8 may not be necessary.

I currently own both a 23 C8 Z51 & 24 GT Premium. Do not buy a Vette with a 3LT interior due to an ongoing issue with dash delamination going all the way back to the C6…,ask me how I know. The 2LT is the sweet spot for included options. You’ll definitely want the front lift…I haven’t scraped my splitter in 3 years of ownership. Front cameras are a must, again I’ve never bumped the nose. Z51 package is awesome if you don’t mind copious amounts of brake pad dust. I swapped mine out with low dust Carbo-Tech pads. The DCT shifts like greased lightning but will cost more to service and the intervals are a filter change at 7,500 miles and then fluid changes at every 22,500 or 3 years and is a bit pricey. Other than that I absolutely love the car other than having to deal with sh!tty local Chevy dealers. Either car is a great choice.

Thanks for the info. everyone, yeah still have lots of time to research and think over what I would want to get next time I do trade. The Stingray looks nice & I think I could make the storage of things work with the 2 small trunks, would be different with no back seat. Yeah I did read about the 3LT dash issues, I would do either the 1LT or 2LT, 1LT actually looks like a good spec. do not get a whole lot more that I would be interested in on the 2LT for the extra $7K. and 1LT comes with the camera rear view mirror now. Mustang might have some new stuff out in a couple years also. does not look too good for the Camaro as of now though, latest I saw was coming back as an EV SUV. have to wait and see. 1LT Stingray is also close to the pricing of a Dark Horse, some Mustang models are getting pretty close to Vette prices.

If the wife and I didn’t have old achy backs, the 1LT would be fine by me. The heated seats are a must on long trips. I never understood why Chevy doesn’t include them on the 1LT. Using duffle bag type luggage makes the frunk/trunk storage area more usable.

And lane detection!

Yeah on my 400A GT I will turn on the heated seats and steering wheel in the winter for like a minute or 2 then turn it back off, gets too warm for me once the heater gets warmed up. i do use the ventilated seats in summer though, but with the Stingray cabin so small I would think it gets to temp fast. this is the first Mustang I have had with the heated, ventilated seats as I always had 300A GT's in the past. I also park inside so my cars do not sit outside.
also, why does the Stingray come with only 245 tires in front? seems kinda narrow, the rears are 305's. just because not much weight in front? I think they should put at least 275's in front.

The heated seats in our Mustang get warmer than the ones in the C8. But with our jacked up backs that’s not a problem for us. As far as the tires go, mine has the OEM Michelin Pilot S summer tires that are slippery when the temperature gets below 40 but stick like glue when hot.
