Hmm they claim they measured half of a millimeter of flex without their brace, improved to a fifth of a millimeter with. I'm sorry, I don't believe a third of a millimeter of flex is going to improve suspension geometry characteristics any amount that couldn't be dismissed as margin of error.

@GhastlyTT ..... there is a lengthy report on a car forum that I reposted part of on, I believe this forum, wherein an automotive engineer and his friend used calibration and laser equipment as well as physical links between strut towers and the results were IMO predictable. the lateral forces on them were astounding. When you combine the brace from the firewall to the struts with a strut brace between towers you eliminate incredible torsional and lateral forces on the towers. I would have thought it would be obvious that having two front wheels suspended from strut tower apparatus would be seen as a potential for torsional and lateral damage. On my 2014 the addition of a strut tower brace dramatically improved the fell of the steering and the vehicle's handling, particularly through curves. basic laws of physics are at play here.
Thanks for sharing. Anecdotally, I have beat the piss out of my car on tracks for 2 seasons now without a STB, and have no signs of any problems.

Thoughts on carbon fiber composite brace resting/working over top of the hot engine. does it flex more than steel at temperature? does it warp over time? post cure issues or is it heat cured? That's an expensive maybe to me. looks cool though
When I put mine on. I was going on the theory that it was better than nothing at all.

having driven the Whipple daily for 6 months now i can say day to day you wont notice a difference with the brace gone. you still keep the firewall to strut brace and any real loss can be made up with a K-member brace or other suspension components

@Mellor10 .....a brace underneath would be better than nothing but not as effective with strut tower strengthening as an upper tower brace. I would get a custom steel brace fabricated and then have it powdercoated.
I disagree. I have had the Steeda tower brace on its own, Steeda brace with stop the hop kit, and the stop the hop kit with no tower brace with K brace. That is where the car is locked in for sure. I'm sure the tower wouldn't hurt but most of the work is done on K brace not the tower.

@Mellor10 ..... do you have more leverage at the bottom of a pair of stilts or at the top, I ask rhetorically .... this was grade 10 physics question - no disrespect intended.

Plenty more flex on a mustang front end to worry about before thinking that strut brace makes a huge difference , Those jello bushings front to back on a mustang are the first port of call . For 90% of mustang owners that strut brace is a placebo at best , Easiest money a parts seller can make selling that brace , easiest home " mod " a basic DIYer can do , and ooooo yeah i can feel the difference even though those front bushings are flexing inches in total changing your toe in MILES . hahaha . As long as you " think " it makes a massive difference , thats all that matters . Key point if you want to tighten up your front suspension there are plenty more to do that will make a real difference before that strut brace is really required . Yeah conentious i know and plenty out there will have a lot to say ... 🔥 away

When your stilts are bolted in at four points dirctly into the chassis compared to 2 bolts on each end of a spanned link bolted to body? No disrespect but this is what I do for a living and a little more educated than 10th grade. So whatever your point is, I have driven both ways and it's better on track with K brace. This wasn't meant to be a pissing contest.
