Anyone powder coat their Ford Performance Whipple Stage 1?

Up here north of the wall it's a challenge, not to mention expensive, to get stuff sent up from them there United States of 'Murica. Also, Ford tends to want to install the Ford Performance Whipple kits and FP doesn't have the option of getting their SCs "painted" from Whipple.

So....

My Ford dealership parts manager suggested, if I really wanted this, perhaps getting the lid powder coated in white (as close to Oxford White as they can get) would be a good option.

Anyone done something like that to their whipple lid?

I have seen many pictures of powder coating the top cover. I left mine mat black because it looks more stock. I'm sure it would be no problem to find a powder coating shop that would do it just make sure the mating surfaces are clean.

order the whipple version i had mine paint matched to atlas blue by whipple.
you dont want some other company respraing it with all the bearings and junk in it as well as the rotors.

ford will install it for you its the same kit.
if not that still does not matter any long as its a ase... whatever mechanic installs it and you will keep your warranty

i wanted to do it myself but didnt feel like getting certified

plus you can get the bigger intercooler with whipple and still keep the warranty just like the ford kit.

So I ordered the FP kit today and put a sizable deposit down; this means I don't have the option for whipple to do it as it's coming from FP.

I'd have loved to get mine in Atlas Blue. But in order to do that the SC must be ordered from Whipple. I like the way red looks all by itself, but Atlas Blue would match my front and rear running horses and fenders 5.0 badges. I took off my rear GT badge in favor of the Ecoboost Running Horse. GT means nothing to me. The running horse is someya Mustang can't live without. Plus some idiot in a GT wanted to race for pinks He said Ecoboost are quickest in the holeshot. I told him let's do a roll from 65. His feet froze. Could've had another GT and gave it to my nephew. Guess he didn't notice my 5.0 badges.

if you want your supercharger powder coated, order it from Whipple or Lethal Performance. they both offer powder coating options, even on the warrantied kit. you can even supply them with your preferred color of power coating if the options they have arent what you want. Ford Performance is boring and just keeps it matte black. if you order from Lethal Performance, you also have some additional options, being a version with their logo on the supercharger lid, or a VMP one with a VMP lid (but no option to get powder coating done)

I think the main problem would be getting the Whipple up from the USA; those new taxes/tarrifs may add extra costs, and the shipping alone will be a shit show in duties and taxes.

I'll stick with "boring" and save myself $1000+ lol

Yep. Things from America bought in Canada were expensive to begin with. Good thing I bought my daughter's bagpipes before things went crazy. Saved a few hundred from Canada.

definitely going to be adding that to my list of parts to get. after what happened with the S550 Super Snakes, i am not taking any chances with chassis bracing

Lethal was one of my first choices however shipping and duty on the kit to Canada would be insane!

Buying the kit through the dealership allowed me to bypass all that stuff! However the one drawback is FP doesn’t paint their units.
