Bought a $2500 Borla Catback from them. A few hours after placing the order I was on the site and ordered the matching H pipe. Happened to see the VIP rewards link right after placing the order, like at the bottom of the confirmation page. Bought several things in the past but this is the first time I saw it. I called and asked them can I join and get the 5% rewards since I just saw this a few hours after purchase? He's like no. Well I joined anyway for the future and have already bought several more things. So today I figured I try again. Lady said there is a note attached to my file not to credit me the rewards for that purchase. I was like oh ok, gee thanks lol. I get they can't just let everyone join after the fact and get the rewards, but it's not like I called a year later. It was literally hours after placing the order, and I have bought alot of stuff in the past from them.

Edit: Alright, so before we get too carried away - somebody higher up did contact me. They said there is an exception with Borla and some other brands as to what can or can't get the cashback rewards and that's why originally they wouldn't do it. That kind of sucks and is stupid, but whatever the rules are the rules so I could live with that. The problem is nobody explained that to me before, they basically just came across as nope screw you, and the second person made it sound like I was on a blacklist or something. And they did issue me a credit now anyhow for the trouble. So I will say AM did do good on this whole thing.

That's BS. They should give you, a good customer, the discount. That sucks.

I know you like them but I would have told them to cancel my order $$$ and picked up the same stuff elsewhere. My 2 cents.

To my mind it's always good business to encourage future business; especially from someone who's already been a good/repeat customer. Had it been me; i certainly would have given you the VIP Rewards.

You're 100% justified. It’s wild that they’d rather lose a high-spending, loyal customer over a 5% reward credit on an order placed literally hours prior. The 'file note' is a slap in the face.

My experience with AM has been good for almost everything. The exception has been a wheel/tire package for one of my older Mustangs that was an absolute nightmare of issue after issue.

I ordered sway bar links from them for my Shelby GT500. Thay weren't even close to fitting. I called them and they said just keep the parts, it's off your bill. The next week I got an e-mail from them wanting pictures of my install to get a discount. I called them and explained the issue. They said "OK" and then cancelled my e-mails from them advertising sales! LOL!

If they made it right in your eyes then I'd be satisfied with that. But yes I'd be pissed as well. I try to read all that fine print BS but sometimes you miss something, also I always try and remember to check Veterans discounts, those always help a bit.

I think companies like Borla and Magnaflow use MAP pricing and they dont allow any discounts from their resellers. So thats where you get bit on things like this.

They suck big time! I ordered the wrong part and returned it at my expense and included the original receipt. I had purchased hundreds of dollars of items from them prior to that. They never gave me credit for the return….less than $15. I told them if no credit, to cancel mailings and all their spam texts/emails. Hell will freeze over before I buy from them again. They lost a very good customer over less than $15.
