How many miles did you guys have to drive before the 1st gear 4500 rpm limiter stopped activating?

This isnt a corvette man. There is no hard-coded limiter during break-in miles

Ford didn't say there is a hard limiter. But I think there is some limitations with the car until you hit those unknown miles. Do you have a 6m or 10r80?

Have you consistently encountered this? I'm not aware of a limiter operating at that RPM. You're the first I think to raise the issue. Some were questioning the engine rev limiter in the 7000+ RPM range, but that was the expected, factory limiter.

Are you asking if there is one?
Or
Are you asking when yours will go away?

Because there shouldn't be one at all. If you are experiencing one, you might be in limp mode!
In some cars, the dealership has to remove the "valet mode" prior to delivery.

It’s definitely there. Car dies out and pops at 4500 rpm

Maybe with an automatic in park it stops you from revving past 4500rpm?

the only limiters there should be are
  • 5000rpm in park/neutral on auto
  • 7250rpm on manual
  • 7500rpm in drive/manual on auto

I think it’s a break in type thing to prevent engine damage to be honest

no, that is not normal. if you are hitting a 4500rpm limiter while driving, there is an issue and you need to take it to a dealer soon. If your dash is displaying the message "Transport Mode Contact Dealer", you should press the brake pedal 5 times, then the hazard button 4 times, all within 5 seconds. Transport mode puts limits on the vehicle so it's harder to joyride for the non-owners that move it

I have a manual 2024 GT Premium Convertible as well. I'm 500 miles in and there was never any kind of limiter in that area. I haven't pushed it past 6,000 rpm yet.
