They are out of their mind.
Not Jack Doherty though. Couldn't drive a nail. Here's what would satisfy a lot of people, but Shelby will not do:
1. Give a couple cars to some YouTubers and whatever magazines are left.
2. Get some performance data. This way they can legitimately say things like "5 seconds faster around ______ raceway than a Standard Dark Horse or 2020 GT500", or "runs a 10.1 1/4 mile"
3. Let these YouTubers test the cars and come back and say "this car ran 5 laps at _____ raceway and didn't have any overheating problems. Great job Shelby!"
Until then...
Lambo or Ferrari sounds much cooler, for sure. Then I thought about how much to get those cars serviced vs. a Ford. In the end you’ll be paying a LOT more for an Italian exotic just in parts and service. For a starting price of 225K - what would you rather buy???!!! Thats exotic car territory IMO. I bet optioned out you’d be looking at close to 300K on this car.
I would be cross shopping Lamborghini Huracan STO or a used Aventador…. Maybe a Ferrari of some sort… just my 2 cents If i was going to burn 300K on a car.
So the S650 went too Japanese? It literally has a Honda front-end, and that includes the headlights.I agree that the S550 went too European. The added roundness doesn't make it look more refined, it makes it look more like just another boring family car. I think the mustangs in the mid-60's actually looked best of all.
If Chevy had just modernized the camaro's interior and fixed the visibility issues for a 2024 model I probably would have bought one of those (in SS convertible configuration) instead. When people occasionally comment they thought my S650 was a camaro at first, I take it as a huge compliment.
I don't know what Hondas are like in the US, but most of them down here are fugly AF.So the S650 went too Japanese? It literally has a Honda front-end, and that includes the headlights.
Which Honda would that be. I have not seen one that fits that description. So the S650 went too Japanese? It literally has a Honda front-end, and that includes the headlights.
