ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE — SALEEN TOOK OUR MONEY AND DID NOT DELIVER
My wife and I ordered a new Saleen Mustang in November 2024. What followed was one of the worst business experiences I have ever had.
From the start, communication was nonexistent. Emails, phone calls, and text messages were ignored for weeks at a time. When Saleen did respond, the information was often false. Deadlines were missed repeatedly, and promises meant absolutely nothing.
We flew out in person to see the vehicle and personally handed over a $41,500 check for the conversion. Despite explicit assurances, the car was NOT completed. We were told—face to face—that it would be finished within a week. That statement was completely untrue.
Months passed. No progress. No accountability. No honest communication. Just excuse after excuse.
Eventually, Saleen agreed IN WRITING (via email) that I would install the remaining part myself and that Saleen would reimburse us $12,000 for work they failed to complete. That agreement has never been honored.
As of today:
No reimbursement
No phone calls
No emails
No explanation
Saleen simply kept $12,000 for work they never performed.
I have retained every email, text message, and voicemail documenting repeated promises and outright false statements. This is not a misunderstanding — it is a pattern of deception and nonperformance.
Anyone considering buying a Saleen vehicle should understand this clearly: once they have your money, you no longer matter. The company shows zero integrity, zero professionalism, and zero accountability. The volume of negative reviews online only reinforces what we personally experienced.
Knowing what I know now, I would NEVER purchase a Saleen vehicle. If you are researching this company, consider this your warning. Do not trust their promises. Do not trust their timelines. And do not expect them to stand behind their agreements.
Run — don’t walk — away from Saleen
