Based on what I saw, they closed ‘25 order banks and opened ‘26 already. They usually give a week warning about them closing, and usually there is some overlap.

Not sure what all the fuss is about a 4 door mustang. 4 Door pony cars are awesome, just look at the CT4V and Chevrolet SS. It would more than likely be called a falcon anyway.

Not sure about the Orange Fury. Looks to much like a School Bus. I have a Comp. Orange 2015. Would have liked to have seen a Less Red Orange like Twister Orange. The OF might be a little to on the Yellow side of orange for me.
Agreed. I would have loved a rust or burnt orange color instead.

Well because neither of these is a ”pony” car. 🤭👍
A 4-door mustang would be the Ford falcon since that's what the mustang was originally based on. For a V8 version, specifically the Ford falcon sprint. If Ford wants to make a 4-door mustang, they should just bring back the falcon and call it that again, and not botch the mustang's 60 years of success. The mach-e was offensive enough.

That might be from the C8's playbook since you can go on Chevy's website and configure a C8 with different seatbelt colors, among a million other configuration options.
It’s a small touch, but I dig it. Makes the interior more personal.

While everyone here is fixated on colors and wheels, I’ve noticed, from the order guide:

-No more autodimming mirror on base GT
-No more UGDO on ANY trim.
-the dual iPad looking screen arrangement on 300A cars is STANDARD on 300A AND 400A but making them look like one piece is optional on 400A
-leather is no longer standard on 400A, ActiveX is standard, if you want leather you need to go to 401A.

it seems to me that Ford wants to kill off the base trims and go upmarket to have a much higher starting price. Or, Ford is preparing to kill off the 2 door version and replace it with the 4 door that’s been rumored.
So since 2024 they've now killed both the wireless charging pad AND garage door opener? And started charging a lot more for the exact same car (with less features)? Glad I bought a 24 then.

Thats crazy. How does leather not come standard on 401A? And what's UGDO?

Not sure how any of that leads to 4 door speculation. That been a fan boy paranoia for 25 years.
There's legitimacy to that speculation, from personal experience. A couple months ago I did a paid video interview of my experience with the mustang by a company hired by Ford to do market research for them. They asked me an unusual amount of questions about what I thought about the back seat, and I remember at least one question about what I would think if the mustang had 4 doors. I shared with the interviewer my opinion that a 4-door mustang would be ridiculous and taint the mustang's rich history and 60 years of success doing what works, and his follow-up question was whether I'd still buy a mustang if there was still a 2-door option.

My speculation, after the interview, was that they might be considering going after the new charger's sales by offer a 4-door mustang to compete with it. If I thought of that during the interview, I would have suggested that if they try that they call it the Ford falcon, just like the 4-door car that the mustang was originally based on. And I'd actually prefer they go in the OPPOSITE direction and make a 2-door 2-seater to try to compete with the C8 instead of the Dodge's, but I get that the quantity of sales of those would be a lot less than if they were to take some of the new charger's sales instead.

We both know that's never going to happen. Mustang is a brand now, it is no longer just a model. Ford made this very clear with the introduction of the Mach-E. Personally, so long as "our" mustang continues with a V8, RWD and a M6 I do not care what the attach the Mustang name to.

Don't forget that you now need to option in front floor mats and a $15 can of fix-a-flat if you ordered a PP car.

(Yes, I know that the tire inflator and sealer kit is not the same thing as a can of fix-a-flat.)

I get that adding these two things back in isn't super expensive, but it just comes off as cheap as hell. Floor mats, the tire kit, paying extra for the security package, paying extra for B&O, etc., etc.--all this stuff adds up (not to mention that they've cut content like lighted door sills, the wireless charger, and garage door opener in the process). I guess Ford has to pay for their industry leading number of recalls somehow.

I feel like the garage door opener should be at least an accessory. What a wild thing to cut from a sports car that costs 45+k lol.
