While everyone here is fixated on colors and wheels, I’ve noticed, from the order guide:

-No more autodimming mirror on base GT
-No more UGDO on ANY trim.
-the dual iPad looking screen arrangement on 300A cars is STANDARD on 300A AND 400A but making them look like one piece is optional on 400A
-leather is no longer standard on 400A, ActiveX is standard, if you want leather you need to go to 401A.
Thats crazy. How does leather not come standard on 401A? And what's UGDO?

it seems to me that Ford wants to kill off the base trims and go upmarket to have a much higher starting price. Or, Ford is preparing to kill off the 2 door version and replace it with the 4 door that’s been rumored.
Not sure how any of that leads to 4 door speculation. That been a fan boy paranoia for 25 years.

UGDO is universal garage door opener. Seems like a nice $2.00 part they could have kept.

Leather is not standard on 400A for 2026, you need to go up to 401A for leather. Leather was standard on the 2024 and the ‘25’s

dealers were shown a 4 door variant at a dealer conference last year, along with an off road variant. No clue as to when they’ll go into production, but with 2 door sports car sales declining, the 4 door Mustang is slowly becoming real.

I miss read your post on the leather sorry.

What's your source on this 4 door? I'm highly skeptical about this. They already have the Mach-E. Going to a 4 door would kill the brand they have committed too over and over again. This has been a ghost story for as long as I can remember.

It's gonna happed soon - the 4-door. My soul was already crushed by the M@cH-Eee, so the 4-door will be easier to swallow. If it's got a V8 then OK, I guess. The renders don't look horrible.

If these abominations keep the regular old 'Stang around then so be it. sigh. But I don't like it.

Moving the car upmarket is certainly something they can try, but you can't just raise prices or cut content and call it "upmarket." They actually need to design and build a more premium car.

Charging extra for front floor mats is one of the most laughable things I've seen recently. Plenty of automakers nickel and dime you for everything, but at least they throw in a set of measly fucking floor mats.

A rumored rendering at a dealer conference is hardly confirmation of the real thing. After all Ford has been kicking around Mustang variants for decades. Remember the Front wheel drive version that became the Probe? This is all fear mongering until proven otherwise.

Besides, even if a 4 door variant is produced, there is no way a 4 door will ever REPLACE the current version. That would be brand suicide and they know it.

I'm seeing prices are UP.

Most paints are now $395 up from $295 (even Race Red)
The B&O Sound System is now $1160 up from $950
Performance Package is now $5660 up from $5295

Don't fotget they added $1000 to the base price mid '25 model year.

And you don't get floor mats or lighted sills on anything anymore.
And the security package was removed from the 401A package and is now an additional $500.

That's how I read it anyway. This is compared to my '25 GT window sticker.
Some of these prices are now reflected in the 2025 Build and Price website. I just built a loaded Race Red with 401A, NPP, PP, active exhaust, Magneride, B&O, red brakes, and Recaros and it was $71,435. The website currently lists a Blue Ember DH with handling pack and Recaros as $82,445, but it didn't look like the prices of the handling pack or Recaros were any different. I'm curious to see the prices of real world builds for 26.

With that said, I still can't believe that you can buy a 60K, 70K, 80K+ car and Ford thinks it's okay to cut the homelink and floor mats.

I remember the whole 4 door thing for a long while now, but this article hints at it getting closer to reality:

I don’t wanna see the two door go, but if this is what it takes to keep the Mustang name around, or if this is a way to keep the couple around, then so be it.

Wow, you're right. Wonder if they apply the new prices to an order? Probably. If you can still order one.

I really like the Mach E. Not so much for an electric vehicle. Would be nice to have a DH engine and Tremec in it. Would probably be a great Interceptor. Yeah, with AWD, and a tow ball for jet skis/motorcycles.
