Hey there. I purchased my 25' Ecoboost a bit over a year ago. I've been having a blast so far as it's my first Mustang, hell, my first sports car!

Unfortunately I'm getting tired and bummed out by all the constant electrical gremlins that randomly pop up.

-random, different gallop noises when I open the door. The tone changes often but reverts back eventually.
-parking brake failure: "see dealership" notification will randomly appear and then disappear.
-front end collision detection system offline: " see dealership". This one has popped up several times and goes away within a minute or so.
-Key fob not present notification will randomly pop up mid drive..I've brought both key fobs with me and this will still come on.
-Sometimes when I turn off the car, everything shuts off immediately instead of staying on until I open the door. Things like the radio, dashboard, screen, etc.
-interior brightness levels keep fluctuating and every single night I have to adjust the dashboard brightness to about 1/3, but almost every time it resets to full brightness. Perhaps there's a setting somewhere I can adjust to keep it at low brightness at night?

I have had to bring my Ecoboost into the dealership for the Ford pass modem. It will randomly stop working. When this happens I can no longer remote start, lock/unlock or track location.

I called ford pass helpline and they pulled a service code. But unfortunately the modem started working the same day I brought it to the dealership and they couldn't do anything.

I understand that these issues need to be present when I bring it to the dealership, so I guess I'm SOL?

Anyways, I'm just curious if anyone else has had issues like this ?

These arent electrical gremlins, these are software bugs. Ford is rolling out infotainment and other controller updates over the air to fix a lot of these. Just be patient. There are no electrical problems in your car. Just a rushed to market product with beta bugs that need to get worked out.

God I hope this is the answer because I'm seriously concerned. I'm not sure the modem is a software glitch however. That thing will randomly lose connection and will say my car is several miles away when I look at the location. This has been happening on and off for a few months now.

I have 4 s650 mustangs, a 24 F150 EB and a 25 Explorer ST and all of them have these kinds of quirks and are getting software updates over the air just about weekly. The Truck stopped remote starting from the app a few weeks ago. Took it to the dealer, they replaced a few modules. Had me delete my ford account and readd the truck to it a few times. Nothing worked. Dealer escalated it to their "app team level 2" and they sent an update to the truck and it started working again.

Welcome to the era of real computer controlled, always connected vehicles. The techs laughed when I spoke to them and they said that Ford has been fixing tons of their service customers remotely with software patches and updates.

Oh interesting! So the Ford pass modem wasn't working but after the update it started to work again? Hmmm. Yeah I can't even go into the connectivity settings. It will either say it's unable to go to that setting or it just spins until it times out.

Come to think of it, I haven't had an update in quite awhile.

Yes they had to update the modem firmware and several other controllers. Then it started working again.
