Hi all,

I have a 2025 Premium GT with the 10R80. Coming out of a 911 GT3 with the PDK dual clutch, my bar has obviously been set a bit high, LOL.

I am looking for some feedback from anyone who has tuned the 10R80 to see if there is enough of an improvement in shift points, mainly in Sport mode, to warrant the tune? I have done the CAI and threw and H Pipe on the factory active exhaust, but no performance mods beyond that, and likely will keep it there. The car is a convertible, so definitely not a race car. I am just trying to make the car my own and not have it looking like a rental car in Hawaii or Florida... and maybe I listened to too much Vanilla Ice as a kid...

In summary... looking for a tune with better shift points in Sport Mode. Track mode is a bit too aggressive for what I am looking for...

Thanks!

From my own experience, it’s nowhere close to German options with its refinement. I don’t think it’s a software thing but I may be wrong. It’s like it has too many gears in the mid rangle that has way too close gear ratios, and the torque converter lockup requires more pressure (throttle) than any of my other cars.

Get your fluid checked.

Hi,
Same feedback regarding the AT10 coming from an A5.
The car is great but the shifting in the AT10, it’s just weird, specially the downshifting.
I did some research and it seems the Lund Tuning fixes that, but I haven’t gotten around to getting it yet.
Here’s a useful video on the topic:

Most tuners can refine out the trans. I do a ton to the 10R80 in my tunes. the biggest help is removing all the skip shifting at part throttle. Really makes the car drive nice.

Doing anything with Ecoboost?

No I dont. Just havent gotten around to it. Ive tuned close to 200 s650s since July and between those and the gen2/3 cars that come up, I have almost no time to even look into an EB car. Let alone the coyote F150s and EB F150s.

Can that be done with FORScan?

How many miles are on your car? The 10R80 will learn your driving over time and settle down after a few thousand miles.

Driving in "M" isn't that bad, but nowhere near a PDK, nor an Audi. My biggest complain isn't about the shifting points or speed or whatever (driving in "M" most of the time i wanna get some fun), it's about two things: the RPM limiter at 6900rpm on 6th gear (so for just that gear you need to shift before) and the RPM limiter in general: instead of bouncing at max RPMs until you upshift, like in a Porsche, the fuel is cut and you're being left in the shame for a good second until it will sense again your upshift.. it's like it's going in "sleep" thinking "now what I do?". That's the worst part.

Tune fixes all that. These cars love to shift at 8k RPM. I set mine all to do this. Extensive trans changes, and they both drive like caddys at part throttle and at WOT, its a fire breathing beast. If you are an auto guy, you really need a tune to get the most out of these cars. The manual guys with little to no mods, that want to stay on 93 are meh on tuning since they dont get all the benefits from trans tuning.

I'm OK with the current rpm limit at around 7500 (except for the 6th gear, that I know it can be "removed), but does it also remove the behavior of having the throttle cut for one whole second to bounce at rev limit instead?
