I don't think anyone should be surprised with the pricing as it's basically in line with how it's been in the past couple years.
I think one of the things that gets people with the price of the Dark Horse is something that also applies to the Mach 1, and that's the fact that it doesn't...
Do we know what's in the Dark Horse Appearance Package? Is it just the outside stripes? I'm just curious as to why Blue Ember is exclusive to a car with the appearance package.
Yeah, the hood alignment on the bright red car was abysmal. The car they had in Charlotte looked good from what I remember, but maybe I just didn't look close enough! š
Did I just not notice that the stripes go over the roof before, or are these different? The early ones we saw said Dark Horse on the hood, but I don't see it there. In any event, I'm not a huge fan and would take them off if they're mandatory.
CJ Pony Parts posted this Dark Horse video on their YouTube channel. This car has the Recaros in it, and they look to be the same design as the S500, with the exception of alcantara inserts (which I don't remember being available outside of the Shelbys).
I saw the car in person at the Charlotte Auto Show, and while they're a little more detailed in person, they're basically just flat lights that follow the cut of the rear fascia. I'm not saying that's good or bad (they just are what they are), but the S550 lights definitely have a more complex...
Have they mentioned if you have to have a shop do the install, by any chance? I like to work on my own cars and I don't want to have to pay a shop to install a supercharger just so I can have access to the required tune.
I agree. I'm not a fan of the black part on the bumper, it just looks so off to me. Add in gloss black to the lower vents and I think it would look even better still. Then get a different hood and all three of my front end gripes would be addressed! š
As others have said, I hope that the Dark Horse gets the Shelby Recaros, but I don't see that happening for some reason. The standard Recaros were okay for me, but they still didn't seem to have enough lateral support.
I'm not one to normally jump on the panel gap train, but as it was brought up in another one of these show cars, the hood fitment at the front passenger side corner is terrible. Car looks pretty good in red though. I still want to see them out in natural light though. The show lighting makes...
One of the things that bug me the most about the S650 front end are the mix of gloss and matte black on the front end, which you can't really see in this picture. The fact that you have a large gloss black grille (I'm not personally a fan of the part that extends to the bumper) but the lower...
