Once it goes into trickle mode the initial amps don't matter. I've been using a 1.25 amp for years...just takes longer to get to maintain mode. You still should start your car every 14 days and engage the gears...or it goes into deep sleep mode and supposedly the maintainer no longer works on...

If you don't trust your ears do a visual inspection of the outer tailpipes. Get a flashlight and see if the flaps open in track mode.

Get a jump pack to wake it up then get a battery tender....and use it OFTEN. The way you're running your car, you don't get battery issues right away. It's cumulative until you have less and less of a charge....then it goes into sleep mode or just dies. I didn't drive my last Mustang often...

I didn't take pics yet, but I applied Mequiars Tire Foam to the plastic rocker panels, front splitter, and rear valance with a sponge. The result is a much richer, darker, semi gloss finish that matches the blackout trunk panel and other gloss black trim. You'd be shocked how much it enhances...

Know that if you tap into an existing wire for a sub, prepare to be underwhelmed. There is next to no power allocated to the sub in my B&O system. If you are going to the trouble, start fresh and tap into a new power supply and run a separate wire to the sub. Do a thread search and find...

All great advice, keeping in mind about starting the car and engaging the gears once every 2 weeks. Apparently from what I read if the car sits for over 2 weeks and the battery goes into sleep mode, the battery tender no longer works on it. Makes me wonder about disconnecting the ground instead?

You bring up a good point I should clarify. Most of the time the batteries in these modern cars don't go dead, they go into protective sleep mode, so even though the battery is not dead, it still needs a damn jump to wake up. I keep a jump pack in my wife's car for that very reason.

An alternator will never bring a car up to optimum charge like a Battery Tender does. It helps to turn off interior motion sensor, but every time I do it reverts back to on. These cars also constantly make clicking noises just parked...there's always something going on. It doesn't take long...
