  1. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

I’m to the point of not being sure what I’m sure of. The more I know, the more I know what I don’t know. I do know LouG is secretly a cool kid, just trying to be cool about it. :sunglasses:
  2. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

Even if I flip my collar up and tie a sweater around my neck? Bribe you with a juice box? It even comes with a sippy straw! A sippy straw!!!
  3. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

Ryan agreed with me? 😳 Well, looky…. there’s an open seat at the cool kid’s table. :sunglasses: But you’re wrong on one thing….I’m nuttier than squirrel shit…. But I put up a good front.…lol. But seriously, I also wouldn’t say there is a huge difference in track exhaust, but...
  4. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

We are talking about only changing the exhaust setting, not Drive setting. Some here including myself, think just setting the exhaust to Track also advances timing or throttle response. How else does it add 6 hp?
  5. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

Since I bought the car, I have yet to experience a day under 80˚ and humid without running the A/C. Looking forward to cooler weather so see how the car runs then….
  6. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

I dropped it…then Frogdog came in stirring the pot again….lol. Bad Frogdog! :giggle: So am I….
  7. 2005 Mustang GT…Yay or Nay?

No, I mean if you transported today’s Mustang back to 2005. 486 hp with all the bells and whistles as well as IRS and variable exhaust. The car is like a rolling toy store. It would have blown minds if today’s car existed in 2005. Maybe Camaro had advanced quicker, but thanks to that, it...
  8. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

C’mon Ryan, you can sit with the cool kids too. You bring the juice boxes?☺
  9. 2005 Mustang GT…Yay or Nay?

The 1980, the great Corvette produced an underwhelming 190 hp with the neutered 305. The 1982 Mustang GT 5.0 High Output Engine put out a laughable 157 hp. In 1987 the Buick Grand National was the quickest American production car for that year boasting 245 hp which required turbo V6 My 1991...
  10. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

Where were you when I was getting my ass handed to me asking the same question 3 weeks ago…LMAO. 🤣
  11. PREMIUM-VS-REGULAR GAS FOR 2024 GT??

Octane is primarily an anti-knock rating, the secondary benefit is more hp as the timing can advance with higher octane. Ford says do not run lower than 87 octane, so yes, 87 is the bare minimum. But guess what they also say? Seems Ford has already decided what is better for your car…
  12. Active Exhaust/Track Mode Driving

I stated that exact thought a few weeks back. I thought throttle response was much more instant with just setting the exhaust to Track Mode. Others tried a comparison and didn’t experience what I thought I was going on. So, some think it makes no difference, but I thought it did more than...
  13. Great Touring Car

It is extremely comfortable…especially after 17 years in my lowered 06 GT. Borderline cushy Ride!
  14. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

Yup…put it in paddle mode and run it in like 5th gear. Running above 3500 RPM and then goosing the throttle will give you a noticeable steady push in the back. Or put it in Sport Mode, it holds gears longer while you use the paddles.
  15. PREMIUM-VS-REGULAR GAS FOR 2024 GT??

These are the people that order a filet mignon and then put ketchup on it. :cwl:
  16. PREMIUM-VS-REGULAR GAS FOR 2024 GT??

    LMFAO....I should have known.🤣
  17. 2005 Mustang GT…Yay or Nay?

it was a perfect storm, bad head design allowed carbon build-up seizing the threads, and Ford used two piece spark plugs and they were notorious for breaking at the seam. Replacing with a better plug design fixes the problem. Many were smart and replaced their plugs early on before they were...
  18. 2005 Mustang GT…Yay or Nay?

He doesn’t want his son to go from a v6 to a 486 hp v8. There is nothing wrong with the 3V.
  19. 2005 Mustang GT…Yay or Nay?

Wow, that looks CLEAN! I had an 06 GT. Make sure both airbag recalls are done! Transmissions are known to go at 60,000 miles…maybe. Don’t change spark plugs. Like Ryan said, they are known to break. Inspect BCM in passenger footwell for possible corrosion. If it has the 1000watt Shaker...
