i remember at one point seeing someone freak out about Ford trying to kill off the V8, but i just saw this on their home page
i dont think we have a single thing to worry about
i have made it a habit to refuse to leave the driver's door until i hear/feel it lock from the door handle lock button thing. i also enabled walk away lock last night, so maybe ill take more advantage of that
i went ahead and specced out my DH mostly the same (mostly since no more blue calipers), and the price went up $4315. +$295 for Grabber Blue Metallic, +$500 for Handling Package, -$1595 for 10-Speed Automatic, +$4010 for Dark Horse, +$1000 for 700A Equipment Group, and +$105 for painted brake...
nope, not yet
SYNC 3 and SYNC 4/4A are QNX-based, a Blackberry platform. the fact they specify "QNX" means the "Android Automotive" based version might be coming sooner or later. i know its gonna be on the 2025 Explorer and called "Ford Digital Experience"

i did some experimenting today and found out 2 things
1. the "Classic" gauge cluster works with the 220mph speedometer
2. the 220mph speedometer is still broken and behaves like the 140mph (test done by controlling a parameter in the IPC) and does not work with the speedometer set to kmh
update on this: i contacted the company asking for a picture they did not have listed and they responded within 5 minutes with an image that i ran through a couple tools, and they all agreed that it was real and not AI. still be cautious, but things are looking better
i recommend being wary of this company. i thought it was interesting that they were offering a full cat-back titanium active system that costs ~$2800, and i did some digging. the website has been around since 2021, but i cant really find much of anything online about their products (may also be...
been thinking about getting a 6 year/100k mile maintenance plan. i was quoted ~$2800 for it. given that the front rotors are $600 each for the 2-piece DH ones, struts themselves are about $736 each, and shocks themselves are $501 each (all before tax and parts mark-up and labor and cost of...
19x11 will fit no issue, the problems come with 19x12 and 355 width tires. just wide enough that big bumps will be depositing bits of rubber into your rear wheel wells, but not so wide that it will carve a groove through the sidewall
in track mode, traction control is turned off, stability control is made more passive, magneride is made more stiff, pre-collision assist is disabled, throttle response is more aggressive than normal, but less sensitive and more linear than sport, and the steering is supposedly changed in some...
this whole "carbon fiber parts" thing is just kinda stupid. i wish there were some actual non-break the bank parts, but i know Air Design has some plastic parts and they're pretty interesting. especially the EcoBoost hood vent thing...
