surprised nobody has pointed out what looks like a suspension and exhaust mode button on the steering wheel, right where the adaptive cruise distance adjustment and speed limiter toggle would normally be. guess that means no adaptive cruise control. also not sure how to feel about the lack of a...
it seems like there are at least 6 tunes
- Whipple stage 1 GT
- Ford Performance stage 1 GT
- Whipple stage 2 GT
- Whipple stage 1 DH
- Ford Performance stage 1 DH
- Whipple stage 2 DH
all of them are 49-state legal and do not have CARB certifications
yeah, thieves really like the new vehicle cats. my dealer once had someone overnight steal cats off an Econoline (yes, they still make those brand new) and try to steal a DPF from i think an F-600. key word there is "try", i think they realized the trouble with stealing such a big piece. we also...
i hate the recaro seats due to how bare of creature comforts they have. as someone who has owned both a M1HP and DHHP, i can say for certain that the Dark Horse is just better. handles better, newer tech, more power, and you still have access to a fair few of the mods the S550 has, especially...
for who knows what reason, Ford decided to not offer caliper piston boot service kits for the S650, so if there is any damage, you're going to need a whole new caliper, which can cost a lot. retail cost for a non-black painted calipers is ~$600 before parts adds their mark-up, and labor for...
OASIS Is the system that Ford dealerships used to check a vehicle for things such as factory warranties, Ford extended warranties, connected vehicle data and recalls. Leaving a recall open will not really do anything. So in theory, you could just leave it open and there would be no consequences
my dealer has not gotten one in for this recall, but i recommend still going to the dealer so the recall itself can be closed, as Ford probaby has you vehicle flagged in OASIS as with an open recall
the accessories guy at my dealer got some and is going to be installing one on a customer's Atlas Blue Handling Package Dark Horse. the supercharger itself already got here. really excited to see how it turns out!
DH in AZ, i normally see oil temps around 200-215F. if i put it in M and hold the gears, i can get it to 235 or 240, but the vehicle idles higher at a stop when the oil is at 240F or higher
if those are the idle temps, then that is alarming. those temps are more along the lines of "i just got...
in no particular order
1. the blue alcantara under the perforations in the seat
2. heated and cooled seats with heated steering wheel
3. adaptive cruise control with stop and go
4. handling package aero
5. the sheer stopping ability of the brembos
6. the infotainment and instrument cluster...
agreed 100%. the annoying ones are the ones that think that just because they have an EV that they are better than everyone else. also the Tesla fanboys and Elon worshipers. my dad has a Lightning and is pretty cool about it, he mainly got it to have a truck and not spend tons of money on fuel...
i cant recommend supercharging something with the Tremec TR-3160. the one the Mustang uses (configuration C) is rated for 405 lb-ft on a 6600 lbs vehicle. i have no idea if this actually works like this, but ChatGPT says that the TR-3160 config C should be able to handle ~653 lb-ft on a 4100 lbs...
it's really confusing how to access it, but you can check that by going to the "Service" tab on your FordPass app
then tapping on "Vehicle Health"
then you will have access to your tire pressures, oil life, and odometer
