Yeah, that is not helpful in this case. Trofeo RS are Z rated (149 mph +) and rated at 186 mph according to Tiremart.com (no idea whether that is accurate at all). I cannot find anything directly from Pirelli.
I do not wish to rely upon AI, but I have watched dozens of dyno videos, and, while they all mention a speed limiter affecting certain RPM cutoff in certain gears, nobody specifies a speed at which there is a shutoff.
Do you know the speed? If so, how do you know?
Also, are all Mustangs...
I do not need to Google it, lol, I am old enough to have listened to Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown on the AM radio as a child, when it was a new song, riding in the car with my parents.
I also have it on a CD now . . . where are my CDs?
AI tells me that there is a speed limiter set to 168 mph, but that appears to be based on posts on forums like this one. If you review the posts, you find no source.
Does anybody know what my unmodified 2024 Dark Horse (handling package if that matters) has for a top speed?
Please do not post...
Does raising the shift point do anything? Is anybody making drag strip runs prior to tuning, then tuning and making drag strip runs to see if there is consistent improvement of some sort?
I am just wondering what benefit there is to spinning an engine higher when it is already well over 7000...
So you had body roll. You installed an SR strut tower brace, and, as a result, "Body roll is almost non-existent now?"
What does a strut tower brace have to do with "Body roll?"
93 straight from the local gas station, not some VP specialty fuel or anything, no Boostane or anything else?
Do you know what size pulley and throttle body they are running?
Do they have headers and exhaust?
OOPS
LOL, I just saw this is a 2024 post
I thought this had to do with tuning...
So many times now, I find a relatively stable incline, horizontal or very slightly inclined upward, and drive in Track Mode at a specific, stable miles per hour velocity. While maintaining that same velocity, I switch to Sport Mode. 100% of the time, with my foot staying as stable on the pedal...
"thanks to Ford."
Is it electronically limited?
Are all of the GT models and the Dark Horse limited? Basic internet answer is the Dark Horse (manual only) top speed is 168 mph. I cannot find anything on the automatic.
No, I do not want to find out on the public roads, but I am still...
Already on page 3. Great thread, great explanations. You take your time and do not assume others know things, which is appreciated. Since I have done only one track day, I found the first few pages very worthwhile.
Cringed a little when I saw that cracked wheel, though!
Yes.
I discovered this when I was a young man working as a police officer. During a car chase, in the hot southern summer night, when the pedal stayed on the floor for long periods of time, I found myself sweating. Man, it's getting hot! I figured out soon that a/c turns off at full...
Please ignore that post - it was wrong and you were correct
I deleted it (please consider deleting the false info of mine that you quoted)
The TVS 2650 was an upgrade Magnuson and others offered. The factory blower was the 1740.
