Has anyone actually completed this swap successfully? Seems like the front brakes are easy enough to swap onto a base gt, however seems like a mixed bag on the rear.

For reference I already own a car without the pp brakes and just picked up take off calipers from a darkhorse. I also have 0 interest in the drift brake.

Is this pheasible and what needs to be done?

Front's the easy half. Beyond the calipers you need matching PP rotors, the PP brake hoses since the Brembo inlet sits differently than your base caliper, and pads. Check wheel clearance before you order rotors, some base GT wheels won't take the bigger disc.

Rear is where people stall out. Verify what you actually bought first, if those take offs have the electric parking brake motors, confirm the connector and motor match yours or the EPB module won't know what it's holding. If the rear rotor diameter is different you'll need the matching bracket or carrier, and that's the part nobody accounts for until the box lands. Pull part numbers on both sides.

Plan on a scan tool session at the end. Changing piston volume shifts your brake bias and the ABS calibration was written for the factory setup, so you want FDRS or a shop that has it. Full flush and proper bleed too.

Feasible, especially with the hard parts already in hand. Just do the part number homework on the rear before anything comes apart.
