Will Dark Horse 19X9.5 wheels fit s650 base GT in square setup?

Hi all, I love the look of the dark horse wheels and I’m interested in getting them for my S650 base GT, and would ideally like to go with a square set up. Has anybody used the dark horse 19X9.5 +40mm wheels in a square setup before? Does it fit and line up ok in the rear?

They will fit fine... as for lining up in the rear, they won't be flush with the fenders if that's what you are looking for, they will still be in a bit.

You can fit a lot wider wheels than that on your S650 base model GT.

Its not the width its the offset. Not sure about the offset in the rears with the square set up, but you can put much wider wheels than that and be just fine.

Would spacers be a safe option for the rears to get it to sit flush? Or would it make more sense to just go with the wider 19x10 +52.2 DH rear wheel and deal with additional cost of not being able to rotate tires and a bit more understeer? (The main reasons I wanted to go square).

I would not recommend spacers, If you want your wheels more outside closer to fender you are looking for lower ET number of the alloy… The lower the ET the more towards outside they are…

Spacers are safe. Plenty of us stressing these cars on 11" wide square setups with a 25mm spacer up front for track and autocross.

The staggered setup would look better... the commonly used 25mm spacer would push wheel out too far... a smaller spacer may require cutting wheel studs for a bolt on spacer, or longer wheel studs for slip on spacer.

Id go that route. A staggered set will always look and handle better.

Bolt on or slip on with longer studs?

I'm using a bolt on pair right now, I just check them every time I rotate. I do intend to press the spacer studs out and replace the hub studs at the end of this season. Putting my street wheels back on takes too long.
