It’s 2026 and we are talking about a refresh on a gen that started with 2024. That’s just silly
The S550 was new in MY 2015, and in MY 2018, Ford made major changes. New front and rear clips, new hood, and new instrument panel. The Coyote V8 got an ever-so-slightly larger bore, direct fuel injection, and an increase in compression ratio, resulting in 25 more horsepower. I think there were minor tweaks to the Getrag MT-82, as well. That doesn't mean we should expect that the 2027 will have substantial changes, but it would not be unprecedented if it did.

Ford will do what ford wants and people can speculate until the cows come home but that won't change a thing.
The entire automotive market is doing a bit of a swing around, a few years ago the last ever ICE's were being developed as EV's were going to take over and there was mass layoffs.
And similar to ford realising they were sold a dummy with AI they're having to re-hire people, problem is the people and the supporting companies have moved on to new markets.

I work/worked for a VVA company which we've kept ticking over but the last year the OEM's have been in a panic and full of uncertainty with hypotheticals and what if's we brought back the program we cancelled 4 years ago.

Thats true, I think the S550 was an anomaly though. Usually it’s closer to five years. Maybe I’m also just a bit salty lol cause my 2025 would already miss out two years later

I agree that five years is more typical.

I still think the SC bumper will trickle down to the S650 for MY2027. That with a modest price hike and some new colors.

One look at automotive spy news in recent months and a little bit of math would answer this question.

A certain camouflaged, production-ready presenting convertible has shown up a number of times and yet there's been no announcement. That's enough to tell me that specific car is probably a 2027MY, and with the lack of accompanying variants, I would also infer that there won't be a refresh next year.

I'd expect 2028 as well. With that car looking like it'll be the sister of another one that is releasing imminently, and looking at some other variants that followed a similar track (Raptor R released 2023, refresh 2024), I don't think it's unlikely we'll start to see some changes by the end of the winter season.

I do wonder what happened to Ford Authority's photographer though. Usually if there was an indication of changes on the way, it would have been seen by now.
Things have been extremely lackluster over at Ford Authority. Their last Mustang 'spy' post was back in January!? It seems like they're only currently worried about the new Maverik junior EV and trying to keep up with all of Fords recall announcements. Meanwhile Dodge dropped their V8s, made a Charger EV, then came back out with the Hemi and has a half dozen SRT cars and trucks back in the pipeline! All we have is exorbitant priced Raptor R and the Darkhorse SC. And now they're dropping a Pink Pony Club Bronco package?! Come on, Ford, WTF! Oh, we'll give you a $1,000 off a supercharger install! I wouldn't trust a Ford dealer install within 300 miles of me to successfully pull that off without causing a disaster! Sorry, rant over. LOL
