DH SC Hood Orderable?

My question about the year and especially the color is that I have a '25 perfect DH hood. The bummer part is mine is Blue Ember Metallic with decals. Mine is from a salvaged donor car I bought for another project (don't need any of the body parts) that only had 900 miles on it and was hit in the right rear about tail light height. We could have made a great deal if the color matched and you were looking for an OEM hood. Sorry

Bummed out. I found some hoods I like but they are carbon fiber. Anyone know of a good painter near Dayton Ohio that can paint them or is that a bad idea? If I can paint them after the paint hardens can I ceramic coat it?

Yes, carbon fiber can be painted... once it is, it is just like any other paint and ceramic will be fine... though you may have to give the paint time to cure before ceramic application.

TR3Z-16612-B is the hood itself - $3609 retail price
TR3Z-16C630-BAPTM is the hood's insert piece - $907 retail price
i have no idea why the carbon fiber accent piece is the one marked paint to match and not the hood itself, unless Ford messed up something when putting together the catalog. but in any case, you'll also need the hood pins for things to look and function properly
TR3Z-16A770-A is the left hood pin, TR3Z-16A770-B is the right hood pin, with 2x W720363-S900 shown probably to secure the pins.
TR3Z-16C826-A is the hood strut, the regular EB/GT/DH ones won't work, and you'll also need to install TR3Z-16A200-A strut tower brace for the hood strut to actually clip to.
you'll also need to swap out the core support for TR3Z-8A284-D in order to mount the pieces the hood pins clip and secure to when it's closed.
the pieces that mount to the core support are TR3Z-16D678-B and KR3Z-16K689-A mounted with three W505486-S450 bolts. the catalog says there's only one side with the strikers, but i'm pretty sure that's an error, so just buy double of all of the above parts.

in all, be prepare to shell out $8000 to $10000 to add the DH SC hood properly. prices may vary and that doesn't include tax and cost to paint to hood

Ford really doesn't want this hood going onto anything else.

OOF! That is steeeeeep for a hood. Going to have to wait for the aftermarket to step in. I run a GT4 hood on my DH love it.

that's the $907 part i mentioned, and there's no rain tray listed in it's own, so i think it comes as an assembly
