Whipple Vs. Others

I have noticed that social such as this one and FB nearly all Mustangs and discussion about boost revolve around whipple supper chargers. However I was at a car show this weekend and found only one Ford Performance super charge out of about 10-15 I saw. Makes me wonder why whipple seem to king here and low booster out in the wild. Any and all comments welcome. Also I would like to hear what folks think are the best unit for the S650.

The ford performance supercharger is a whipple and they were the only option for damn near two years for boost.

It’s simple, the new unit is just plain excellent, add in you get injectors and the tune and cars can run deep into the 9 second/ 900 plus HP range.

the whipple is an absolute homerun…

Now get ready to hear about the dark horse SC and the 3.8 whipple… 1200HP builds will be all over town, at least around here

as to other companies ESS has been coming out strong finally (3 years later)
Vortech hasn’t actually made it to market yet and I’m not sure if anyone has built a procharger car yet
The roush kits have been D.O.A.

there are some nasty turbo cars around fwiw, already in the 7s iirc.

1.Vortech came out late May
2. Several Procharger s650s on YouTube.
3. There are a few of us Roush guys on here and saw some at this years Mustang week just not to the extent of the Whipple lovers.
4. As far as Darkhorse Sc goes I don't think it's going to be as popular for modding as the GT500 was but we'll see I'm only a few hours from DFW or Houston so if they're out there I'll more than likely see some.
