Hello everyone,

I have a base model 2024 Mustang Ecoboost and wanted to install paddle shifters. I ordered one of the GT wheels from Ford Performance and installed it. I changed the values that have been around here on the forums as shown below:

- Install new steering wheel
- Enable Select Shift in FORScan
(PCM 7E0-163-01 xxxx xxxx x*--) change 1 to 2. "L" gear shifter will be like "M"
- Enable Gear Select SST in FORScan
(IPC 720-02-01 *xxx xxxx xx--) change 0 to 4. this will show “M" in cluster to actually show gears.
- Continuous Gear Display in FORScan
(IPC 720-12-01 xx*x xxxx xx--) change C to E.

All of the changes seem to have worked, however, when trying to shift with the paddles the car doesn't shift. I did get a strange warning when changing the value for Gear Select, something along the lines of the value might be wrong, and when I went to change the Continuous Gear Display, it was already set to E.

The wheel came with the additional buttons for adaptive cruise and whatnot on the left, so I thought that might be the issue. I took the buttons from my stock wheel and swapped them, but it's still not working.

Is there anything I can do or check to troubleshoot this? I'm new to ForScan so it's possible I did something incorrectly. I did take a backup, though, thankfully.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed a Dark Horse wheel on my base Ecoboost last weekend and it worked.

- I had previously done the IPC 720-02-01 change (to show "M" and gear number).
- My IPC 720-12-01 was already "E" (Ford updated the default setting I believe)
- After installing the wheel, I made the PCM 7E0-163-01 change (to hold a gear when shifted to).

Everything worked after that.

Ah ok. I'll give this a shot. Thank you!
