A close comparison? 🤣 Comparing a DH to a 93 Cobra is like comparing a Vietnam fighter to a fifth gen fighter. Yeah, its more expensive. But its significantly better in literally every single aspect.
Tell me you have no idea what you're talking about without telling me you have no idea what you're talking about...

I'll try to use smaller words:

I'm not comparing technology, I'm comparing cost based on offering. In 93 the Cobra *was* the Dark Horse of it's time. Get it?

And Ford sold that Dark Horse of it's time 20k cheaper compared to today.

This is not personal. I own stock in Ford, but I'm not going to sit here and suck the blue oval dick on very bad decisions. Ford f*cked up the entire Mustang brand and the latest "offerings/cost" are a f*cking joke.

Every US manufacturer took a financial broadside going in on the EV business, only to find that US consumers don't want them without the tax breaks, hov lane access and incentives. Ford sunk millions upon millions on strategizing a way to sell their EV lineup at a loss while the ICE offerings absorbed the extra cost to sell the EV lineup at "competitive" prices.

This is where we are.

720HP at $112K - say it ain't so DH SC - :punch: I'm watching youtube with my, white knee high crew socks, Nike' all white sneakers, Corvette Polo shirt, white cross flag hat, and of course my front pleated white shorts, Life is Grand - Oh Yeah "Grand Sport" - X marks the spot - Grand sport X.

F' Off Ford

Perhaps you should just use the correct words then because thats not at all what you said in your post. But even if you are just comparing the relative cost of 2 cars that are 33 years apart and not remotely taking into account the rise in the consumer price index, then perhaps your the one that we should be dumbing things down for.

By the way, im not defending the DH or Ford by any means. Just pointing out a deeply flawed take on your part.

Comparing costs to the 90s models can be similar but not exact. The S650 is a better vehicle in every way. The 90’s GT also retailed for something like 19K and sticker today is $45K. Even accounting for inflation (go to CPI calc to see) you get more features, nearly double power…etc. You need twice as many dollars to buy an equivalent product now. And supercharged supercars? Well they are rare and priced to be rare. I guarantee you there are people that can easily buy an SC just as easily as some folks can buy a GT. The price reflects the buying power of that price bracket. If you are worried about price the SC is probably not for you. The special track editions are for people who wanted a GTD and didnt get a party invite.

well, the order guides and price lists were updated yesterday, but the Dark Horse SC is nowhere to be seen in either, and parts are still not listed for it

Using the DH SC VINS I have, I check on parts every day and I see exactly what you are saying. So far all you can do is pull part numbers from the HVBOM's and that sucks.

$105k staring isn't that bad

$75k for a dark Horse with the handling pack
You get an upgraded 5.2 engine, DCT transmission, all the cooling upgrades, a supercharger, cats that don't melt, etc for another $30k

$170k puts you into GT3/AMG GTR territory and getting very close to 488 territory... all used cars, but an order of magnitude more respect, and all have taken their depreciation hit already. Sayin...

I would be interested to know what the track pack special edition is vs the "regular" track pack.

It looks like they changed the date for enrollment from March 27th to April 24th. I guess that things are not working out as planned.

“Participating Dealerships will need at least one Dark Horse SC certified sales consultant.
Certification may be obtained through completion of a Dark Horse SC training course.
This course will be available mid-May.”

If they keep pushing it out, it may just be a 2027?

It still doesn't show up as having been EPA or CARB certified. Then again, Ford's applications for the 2026 MY across the board were last dated at the end of 2025. Maybe a late submission?
