Traded my '24 None HP, Temec DH on a Bronco Raptor for my wife, last August, and now am looking at getting back into HP DH in the next month. I feel like the DH-SC is going to be realluy sweet, but I also realize there is going to be the challenge of dealer mark-ups, and the waiting game. I can get into a Handling Pack, Tremec DH with painted stripes for $76k, and the SC is probably going to start at $110k, plus dealer MU. At 61 years old, I am not getting younger, and time is flying by. Love the 6 speed, and the DH has plenty of power for me...So my question is mostly answered, but am I missing more in the SC than just power. Am I being foolish buying hte DH now?

MSRP is $83,750.
If the number add up and are favorable to you, do it. Does it really add up to 76k?
You should be able to get several k under MSRP.

Get it, and like smurfslayer said, don't pay near msrp.
The SC will be over priced and it doesn't have the manual which is what makes the DH such a drivers car. Personally, I'd get the non-hp and customize it with your own sweet ass wheel tire combo that doesn't require changing out the Trafeo's after $5k miles and add a ESS super charger and be way ahead of the game . Just my 2cents

If I had the SC money, that'd be a tough decision. But, as you say, you've made yours. You want a manual, and 500 ponies is enough. Spend the difference on road trips.

Well, I feel as if I have SC money but I’m also someone who wants to enjoy the true experience with the 6pd.

As you were. Spend the difference on some Michelin PS4S as soon as possible after purchase. Go to the 2 day Dark Horse track attack, pick up some light weight wheels and go do a track day or 3!

DHSC's will all be spoken for 6 months after the so called release. First they will send the press fleet to additional QA. Next they will trickle out a few for some friendly press reviews. After that, Leno gets his at the factory, does a show on it. After that, the remaining press release cars are turned loose. Then, they will release about 100 to stealerships who are willing to pay the fee up front.

After the first 100 "public" cars are released, there will be a perceivable pause in deliveries to allow the first few stealerships to cut them loose at INSANE markups. Once the influencer class consumers get their hands on one, and youtube videos drop, deliveries will resume and practically everyone will be will be marking them up.

Once the shine wears off, the mark up will come down to less insane levels. I'd suspect 5k over will be the target for most of late '26 to early '27.

IDK about you, but I've seen in in '17, then again for the Raptor R, and I fully expect DHSC to follow the same pattern.

That is my worry. These will be $110k plus another $20k dealer MU. Plus tax. Just hard to swallow.

I took off those Troferos off after 200 miles… useless in wet weather, and the stickiness creates a situation where it throws little stones and pebbles back at your car, chipping the paint. I went with the Nitto NT555 G2, an amazing performance tire. Give them a look see!!!

Nitto’s are an amazing tire??
Have you had Michelins or Continental summer tires to compare to?
