@AZ_Ryan ..... so you know the cause of the BBQ tic? Wow, you should go on a speaking tour. The advice I was given was from a family member who was a GM engine engineer, family members (who I helped when younger) build race engines, and a Ford engineer i spoke with. Using a Full synthetic, changing it regularly and pre-filling your oil filters is your best bet against engine tic. Putting any kind of additive in this generation of Coyote just makes some dude rich as he laughs all the way to the bank. BTW I have been pre-filling oil filters for decades - not a new concept.

Your anecdotal conversation with GM tech about full synthetic and filling the filter has been disproven by the thousands of people who do that and still have BBQ tick. Id also love for you to explain how you pre-fill the oil filter on the S650 due the angle it need to be tilted for removal and attachment, and how that supposedly would stop BBQ tick AFTER the car has been running for thousands of miles.

You guys had me at BBQ but lost me at tick I had a similar note of low coolant in my 24 GT which I had the dealership look into and test for any leaks. No leaks were present and they just topped off my coolant. I don’t think that is anything to be worried about
