Perfectly clear now why you drink the koolaide.....
Congratulations RDH43!!!!!!!! You're the second one to win an argument with him....look at post #225...he gave up!!! We have to give him credit for knowing everything useless on the interweb though. He can look up anything faster than a speeding Mustang hybrid in UK, LOL! And, change the subject quicker than anyone here.

Start stop buttons are needed in UK though. The climate sucks, it's one big greenhouse gas and none of them takes baths! So, RDH43, you see, there is one place for start/stop buttons....just one place deserves them. Over and out.

Thanks...

Yea I win a prize too.... :) He had to go to the dark web to find some of those opinions....there were no facts at all...lol But then if you're for stop start it'd have to be that way.

WIN an argument?

Uninformed opinion with no evidence v my post with actual scientific journal references

Enjoy your 'win' - says all it needs to about your post

LOL again!

They were literally factual documents with evidence easily available on all search engines. If you don't have the basic skills required to find these sort of things it is no surprise you are uninformed

No prize for that I'm afraid (other than the wilful ignorance badge)

Also if you can get beyond the end of your nose for a moment - if S/S didn't work as you say why are hybrids such a success using exactly the same principle but extending the off periods.

No problem. Start car, press the mode button down twice. Done. In sport mode = no auto on/off.

They 100% don't. That would be completely inefficient and pointless. Hybrids charge their batteries using regenerative braking.
Now that’s some real fast charging - not. Reg braking doesn’t charge as much as it simply prevents usage. Regen braking (oops isn’t that a slowing) is a drag which reduces efficiency. Can you coast downhill and gain enough power to go uphill?

Irony is your special skill ..and there you've said you were out...how many times...so there goes truth... You sure know very little about hybrids.

exactly....you're lucky to get 15 percent extended range with the brake re-gen turned up full...and most people like to coast and turn it way down so you get less charging and the car drives more normal....Its not real efficient either way...you know like stop start is a waste..:)

OK you try reading a bit on hybrids and you may learn a thing or two - it couldn't be more simple and is literally there in black and white

What is a self-charging hybrid car?

However, unlike plug-in hybrid cars, self-charging hybrids have smaller batteries, and do not require topping-up from an external source – instead, they rely purely on energy retrieved from braking and coasting.

Driving ConditionBrake Charging (Regen)Engine Charging
City/TrafficHigh (~60–80% of total charge)Low (mostly for idle/acceleration)

Again....they only work when you're stopping and if you use them...most of the time the dino motor is keeping you running lol...On average you get about 15 percent extra miles because of the brakes if you use them at max.

They do help a metric crap ton more than auto start stop though...;)

You need to do a LOT of reading on all of it....Peace! I am out on this unlike you I'll stick to it...:) Have a great auto stop/start experience...

You have clearly never owned or driven a FHEV as virtually none of them have any adjustment on the regen - you are confusing with EV's

Again data doesn't back up what you are saying

Source?

Of course the ICE is doing most of the work when driving, you do know how small a FHEV battery is don't you compared to a PHEV? Nothing LOL about that?

Funny how a Corvette owner joins a Mustang forum to argue about hybrids?
